Hi there,
My 5yo wants to dress up as Captain Hook when he meets him, which I'm sure is fine.. however he wants to take a sword so that he can challenge him to a fight.. Has anyone done this? Is this allowed? I can't remember whether they sell swords in the Pirates of the Carribean attraction area...

Thanks

A plastic sword won't be a problem. They sell them at the potc ride. Tell him good luck.

Also, is it possible to buy a captain Hook hat anywhere at WDW?

Thank you :) From what I've just been reading, finding Captain Hook to fight could be the problem :sad1:

I will check out Toys R us.. don't know if UK and US stores carry the same stock though x

If you don't want to pack a sword, Disney actually sells nice ones for only $5. They come with a sheath and a loop so he can carry it on his belt. We bought ours at the Contemporary gift shop, but I'm sure you can buy them at DTD or at the Pirates gift shop. If you can, order the Captain Hook costume from Disney Store. Much nicer than what I've seen in the parks.

Ah thanks for that! We may buy a sword when we are there then! Someone bought him a captain hook outfit for his birthday... sadly it is a really cheap and nasty one, but he loves it. He has 2 hooks, but no hat...
