My nephew will be 5 when we go in 7 months. Right now he is really picky eater and I don’t see too much of a huge change between now and then. His mother is thinking about getting the deluxe dining plan but doesn’t want to pay for a deluxe for him. Can we get a standard or plus for just him? If he is fed at a counter service before going to the table service will the wait staff be bothered by him sitting there? Thank you for your advice!

All people in the room regardless of age have to be on the same dining plan. You won't be able to have deluxe for the adults and a standard plan for your nephew.

it is truly a math exercise. At 47.50 for a child, the dxdp can still be a value depending on where you are dining. Character meals are pricey. This can make the plan a value

depending on where you go, ordering may be optional (but what is a 5yo going to do for 2 hours while the adults eat?)

any aycte, buffets or pricing by age will require paying even if he does not eat.

many places will be fine, but then you would have a plethora or child credits left. Which aren’t transferable to the adults.

good luck
