I just looked and they do have one for $49.50! I hadn't seen that one before. They also have a fancier Giselle wedding dress for $149.50:
http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...d=-1&categoryId=32501&catalogFromSearch=10002

The 50% off code doesn't work for either one of them since they're not part of the "semi-annual sale". Here's the link to the $49.50 one, in case anyone else missed it:

http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...1&calculationUsageId=-1&ddkey=DSIOrderItemAdd

the one for $149 has more detail and seems to be more full. My only problem with this dress is that it is sooo white. Anything that gets on this dress will show very badly.

There had been a discussion about Giselle dresses. DD got one from DH's Aunt and Uncle, they got it at Marks & Spencer (for those from the UK) I love the dress, the one they got is a little big so MIL got her another one in the next smaller size, it should be here in a couple of days. I like it because it's reversible and it's short sleeved, it'll be perfect for her BBB appointment and her birthday dinner in June.

I'll try posting pictures, I have the hardest time doing it from a mac, but I'll try. If they don't work I'll also post a link to M&S so you can get a look at it.

Sorry that the pink side is so small, I couldn't nick the image from the site in the bigger size...

Thinking about BBB, has anyone been to the one in the castle? Is there a place for DD to have her pictures taken afterward right there like there is at DTD?

Thanks!

Oh, I wish they would deliver to the US!!!! I LOVE this one!

Hi All... A few quick pics before I head off to bed.

Those with embroidery machines - can you tell me about thread? Which do you prefer - poly or rayon? Any great places to buy lots of colors? I'm realizing I'm gonna need a LOT of thread, I need to purchase as cheaply as possible!

I usually use rayon, as it tends to be shinier and brighter, but poly will hold its color better if it's an item getting a lot of washing. I have both.

For lots of colors, inexpensively, I use threadart. Either threadart.com or :wizard: Radiant thread sis also a nice "off-brand" I have never had problems with. Both are on :wizard: and sometimes you can get large sets of thread, relatively inexpensively, sometimes with thread racks or stabilizer.

For big names, Robison Anton and Sulky are the two brands I use the most, but that's mostly due to availability. Sometimes, the stores here would hae a huge sale (buy 1 get 1 or the like).

There are also 2 ways you can do bobbins (for embroidery you use special 70-weight bobbin thread): you can wind your own or buy the pre-wound ones. I don't know what type of machine you have, so you'd have to check machine compatibility. It is almost always cheaper to wind your own bobbins. You can get industrial sized cones of nice thread for this. I usually use YLI.

FOr pre-wounds, youc an get them by the gross on :wizard: from some sellers. It costs a little more, but, for me, it is more convenient.

I'm sure other people will have better advice, but this is what I do. I hope it helps.

BEAUTIFUL! I'm sorry you had to cut your trip short. :( The girls look lovely.

that's so cool that Miley wore a pettiskirt too! I bet your daughter felt like a princess! (or a rock star, whatever floats her boat).
How was the concert?

The concert was good. I finally regained my hearing yesterday morning (after 2 1/2 hours with all the screaming little girls :rotfl: ). She had a really great time. Hannah/Miley asked the girls to help her out with the singing because she was'nt feeling well. She was drinking quite a bit of water and seemed to be getting fatigued easily. But she was a trooper and I think all the kids loved the concert. I know Sam did, and she wore her concert t-shirt to school yesterday.

Crud! I haven't been here in a while (my hugest appologies!) so I feel like I'm hyjacking...but I just updated my TR and promised a few of you I'd do a shameless plug when ever I update.

I can't catch up so I'll jump in as soon as my quilt is done. :grouphug:

Thanks so much! This looks like a great way to go. The pre-wound bobbins seem very reasonable for the amount of work you'd save for the price. I thik I may end up going this way. Now, I've just got to figure out which bobbin type I use. My machine start up kit came with 10 pre-wounds so I may have a little bit of time to figure that out.

I went to JoAnn's and scoured the two rows of clearance and didn't see your fabric. I did see some beautiful turquoise brocade that was 30% off. I took a picture with my phone and I will try to figure out how to e-mail it to you.
Thank you! Megan will be so pleased that someone appreciates her signature pose. Now if she sees other kids doing it, she will really be over the moon!

That dress is beautiful! Who knows what that employee was thinking! I think it is very sweet that Lydia is going to let you wear the crown. She is so cute I just want to eat her up!

You are so sweet looking for that fabric! What a wonderful person you are!

I will have Lyddy start practicing Megan's signature pose!

Hey Steph, there was a lady on our news today. We are having some flooding around here, and she was saying that there are fish swimming around in her DRIVEWAY!!! I thought that might interest you. ;)

Pretty dreadful....this is way off topic...my 9 month old grandson is having what appears to be petit mal seizures (my oldest daughter used to have hundreds a day and eventually she outgrew them...or whatever), the right side of his mouth pulls and twitches and so does his chin. My daughter and son in law are finally out of the ghetto of North Phila and temporarily staying in my basement...dad is trying to get a job, goes to unemployment office daily, 6 hours a day, applying for jobs, and they have an application for housing assistance...anyhow, they are receiving cash assistance (welfare) and medical assistance (medicaid) for now...No doctor, no pediatrician, no family doctor anywhere near us or far from us will give us an appointment because the child is on MA...."we take it, but we have our quota" "we aren't taking any new patients" "only if the child was born here" "only if the parents are patients here" and on and on....the only suggestion anyone can make is to take him to the ER...as an RN, I always wondered why poor people used the ER as their family doctor...now I know why...we give billions of dollars away, yet we can't serve our poor, and those who are trying to get out of the ghettos....what is wrong with our country? We spend billions to put a space launch up and then scrap it...oh, well, see where I am going?
Just pray for us...
Oh Susan, I'm sorry you are having such a hard time finding care for your grandbaby. That is just crazy! You will all be in my prayers!

For those of you looking, K Mart also carries the princess pillowcases. For various reasons, I prefer not to shop at Wally World so I was thrilled to see the pillowcases at K Mart as well.

DD has been showing a preference for Tinkerbell lately, she has the princess dress-up trunk and she likes to wear the Tink skirt and wings all the time. Here is what I made with the Tink Pillowcase.
tinkdress004.jpg

tinkdress002.jpg

I can't tell you how much the appliqué presser foot helped with the letters and Tink's face. I did not outline her eyes but I did do her nose, lips and hair. I am proud of how well it came out. I love the bright colors in it. I forgot to take a picture but I added an iron-on sequin star to the back of the bodice.

2 MORE WEEKS TO GO!

First thank you for the clarification on how to pronounce your username!! I thought it was pronounced like snub, like maybe you snub people! I see, it's like newbie with an S!!! All this time, I wondered who you were snubbing!

But, on to more important things! That outfit is WONDERFUL!!!! I really love it! I love the colors and that top stitiching! It's just fantastic! I love the way you appliqued around her nose and hair too! I'ts really pretty!

I have been absent on the thread lately, so today I decided to read back some and I saw this:

Can I just say, you two are dorks! And you cracky me up! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Does it have Aurora on it? I can't tell. It's GORGEOUS!

She may be thin, but she has WRINKLES! I couldn't believe they showed her wrinkles in the movie.

Funny you mentioned the wrinkles, I was just telling my Mom yesterday that I like that they didn't try to cover those up! Of course maybe I liked that just because it made me feel better about the wrinkles that I have! My girls didn't even notice them on Giselle, which I loved.

After many many years of being ashamed of my dorkiness, I now embrace it! And, use it to thoroughly embarass my children!!!

Yes, there are Aurora cameos on the fabric, along with castles and roses.

Heather/Teresa (I forget who first posted it, and my computer ate my multi-quote): she said she STUDIED design....not that they let her out with a degree. :lmao: Obviously, she had no taste. Lydia looks lovely.
Good point!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I put the explanation in my signature for exactly the reason you stated. I was afraid people would think I was snubbing someone. It is actually a play on my first initial and last name.

The strange thing is I value positive comments on my work more here than in real life. DH says he is impressed with my sewing but it somehow means more coming for internet strangers. Not sure why that is.

Okay, has anyone been to an actual Disney Store lately? I'm trying to find the deluxe Aurora dress. I've found it online, it says it's in stock but there are no sizes listed making me thing there are no more... DD would LOVE that dress. She's got the Aurora doll that has the same dress on. I'm wondering if it's less than $60 at the store as well...

You beat me to the punch!! I am finishing an outfit using this same pillowcase!! Definately line the pillowcase before you applique it. The polka dots show through on my Cinderella set. I'll post the Tink set on Thursday night.
I can't wait to see yours too!

I am pleased to report that my baby is feeling better!   :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes! I'm so happy to see her up and playing and almost back to her normal self! Hopefully we will get back to some normalcy, well as much normalcy as can be had around here! Thanks again for all of your support! You guys are the BEST!!!!:grouphug:
This is WONDERFUL news!!!!   I am so glad she is feeling better!!!!!
We are all right. But, on Sunday I started having back pain. On Monday the pain was unbearable so I went in to the Doctor. The accident strained the muscles in my back. Hopefully it will be better in 7 to 14 Days. Folding Laundry is almost unbearably painful and I am not supposed to lift anything heavy. My SIL had us over for DInner last night, so I got to take it easy. She is so sweet.

Stephres, What is the name of the Hannah Montana Font?

I hope your back starts feeling better soon. Take it easy, don't try to do too much! :grouphug:
Okay, here is my Cinderella zuma outfit I sorta CASEd from ebay (I actually like mine better, that's rare! :rotfl: )

The top is from my fav YCMT portrait peasant dress pattern.

This outfit is so cute!!!! I love the glass slipper! How clever!!! The outfit really turned out great!

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much to those who were praying for my BIL and his wife. They were able to pick up the baby yesterday. They found out that he was a preemie, and he only weighs about 4lbs. They have to stay in the Philly area for 10 more days before they can take him home. Do you all think they should get him checked out right away? He does have a history of drug exposure - and they have no idea if a preemie takes any special care - this is ringing bells with me that he should at the least be seen by a pediatrician, but do you think I should ask one of the developmental pediatricians I know at the hospital to take a peek at him? or is this too much????? advice would be GREAT!!!

Thanks, Wendy

I hope this all works out fot your BIL and his family. Hopefully, the baby will be fine.

Stupid server!! Am I the only one who doesn't really understand what a server is or what it has to do with my double post? I don't really need a technical explanation for this, I'm just admitting to my ignorance of such things.

I absolutely do not understand it either!

Wow I have'nt checked in in a couple days and you guys have been busy :). I love the Tink and Cinderella customs. Just gorgeous ! Just thought I would post a few pictures of Sam going to her very first concert (Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus of course) She is wearing her Hannah Montana pettiskirt with black footless tights and a Hannah shirt she got as a Xmas present (along with the tickets) from Santa. Needless to sat Santa is THE MAN at our house for the present of Hannah tickets LOL. The pictures are not very good I was using DD21's camera when I should have taken hubby's which is a Nikon and much better, but way more bulky to lug around.

Your daughter is darling!! It looks like she had a lot of fun!
There was a 50 car pileup this morning 10 miles south of Disney. (Polk county-many Disney Cast members live in this area) They have confirmed 3 deaths. 20 semi's were involved. Right now they have atleast 4 people trapped in cars. Please pray for those trapped and the crews just getting to these people. They have gotten 9 people to the hospital 7 are serious. They are showing live shots of the scene and I can't even discribe it.

Cindee

Oh no, I hadn't heard about this! How horrible.

Ok, I found some photos. :)

Redondo skirt and top.
Adorable outfits! I really love this outfit!!

Since Minnie's house is scheduled to be closed while we are there :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: I made my sister take a picture of my Dniece (and Dnephew) at Minnie's sewing machine. Dneice is wearing an outfit I made her so it sort of counts. And hey, 13 months old and the girl is trying to sew! :lovestruc

h_Minnieshouse.jpg

Adorable kids!! Good for you making your sister take the picture!!!

One more thing! I went to Target today to try out the Baby Trend Sit 'N Stand stroller and it was on CLEARANCE!!!   It's $119 on target.com, but it was on clearance for $83!!! So, of course I bought one! I wanted to get something for the kids at Disney and this is cheaper than renting one while we're there! Here's a link to it on target.com:
http://www.target.com/Baby-Trend-Si...index=target&rh=k:baby trend sit stand&page=1
sitnstandstroller.jpg

It seems really easy to push, even with both kids in it. It was also easy to fold up. The front seat doesn't recline very much, but I think it'll be okay.

Now, to keep this on topic, I need to figure out how to Disney-fy it!!
Oh Oh I have that stroller -we bought it just for our disney trip last nov.- It worked out really well!! My only complaint is the "baby" seat doesn't recline as much as I would like. I paid the $119! I was waiting for it to go on sale but it never did :sad2: Great deal for you, I think you will really like it!!
Ok like I promised Heather And Teresa our Christmas day trip to Disneyland. Where my girls were wearing the cuties outfits I have ever made them and our camera died after three pics. :headache: but three is better than none. It was very windy and very cold so thats why they have sweaters on.
th_IMG_0001-1.jpg

th_IMG_0003-2.jpg
I hate when the camera dies- at least you got a couple!! I bet you all had a great time!!

Yeah for the dream team attention- you know we never even saw one dream teamer our whole trip!!- I was starting to think the whole thing was a sick joke:guilty: I am glad to know they really do "exist"!! What rides did you go on with your passes?? They must have a such a good time they wore themselves out!! Those dresses really are SO beautiful- and "cindys" hair was cute cute cute too!!

The rides for the fast pass were. Stitch, Buzz lightyear, space mountain, splash mountain (which is closed until Feb  ) Big thunder mountain, Winnie the pooh, philharmagic, jungle cruise...these are the ones I can remember.. I think there were 9 total..

Those with embroidery machines - can you tell me about thread? Which do you prefer - poly or rayon? Any great places to buy lots of colors? I'm realizing I'm gonna need a LOT of thread, I need to purchase as cheaply as possible!

I was wondering if you were the one that purchased your machine from singertexas.com? If so they have great prices on thread! They have spools that are $1.99-$2.99! It is really good thread and the cheapest I have found so far! Also, do you have a futura? If so, they tell you NOT to use the prewound bobbins in them although most people do! If you take it in for work be sure to remove them because they can void your warranty! I found this out on the yahoo group! One of the ladies over there had this happen!:scared: Sorry, this is just rambling, but I am new to my machine and I am researching everything as well to make sure I do the right things!

I haven't been around in a while but guess what? Guess who is going to the Perfectly Princess Tea Party???? Yes, Gracie and I are going in March. I'm having an Aurora custom made right now. Also, we're meeting up with a friend to attend and we will be going to 1900 Park Fare. We're having "stepsister" customs made for our girls to wear. Gracie is getting an Anastasia outfit and Lilli will have a Drizella outfit. I've had a sneak peak and they are going to be great!!!!!

You all have been very busy creating here. I've just been busy buying things. I'm so excited about going back for Gracie's 2nd trip. The trip in September was amazing.
:woohoo: Make sure you share pics of these great outfits when you get them! Too bad you're not going in May, when Teresa and I will be there!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE your little Cinderella picture, too. How gorgeous! Both of the girls look so pretty in their super-fancy customs!! The AK pictures are cute, too. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Crud! I haven't been here in a while (my hugest appologies!) so I feel like I'm hyjacking...but I just updated my TR and promised a few of you I'd do a shameless plug when ever I update.

I can't catch up so I'll jump in as soon as my quilt is done. :grouphug:
We always welcome a shameless plug around here!

Hey Steph, there was a lady on our news today. We are having some flooding around here, and she was saying that there are fish swimming around in her DRIVEWAY!!! I thought that might interest you. ;)

After many many years of being ashamed of my dorkiness, I now embrace it! And, use it to thoroughly embarass my children!!!

Whatever you do, DON'T give Steph that lady's address!! :rotfl2:

I also used to pronounce Snubie's name as "Snubby". I even paid extra attention to see if she was going to snub me. :rotfl2: J/K I believe she clarified that for me in a PM once, though.

What strangers do you speak of? We're all friends around here! At least that's what I tell myself so I don't feel so pathetic!! :rotfl2: I also really value everyone's opinion on here. If I post something and it doesn't get many comments, my feelings are actually hurt. How silly is that?

Oh Oh I have that stroller -we bought it just for our disney trip last nov.- It worked out really well!! My only complaint is the "baby" seat doesn't recline as much as I would like. I paid the $119! I was waiting for it to go on sale but it never did :sad2: Great deal for you, I think you will really like it!!

:woohoo: Great to hear another good review! I've been eyeing this stroller since Sawyer was born. But, I couldn't really justify buying it. So, I thought I'd just take the kids in to see how it works and was absolutely thrilled to see it on clearance!!

I took the sun shade off the frame yesterday (this involved taking out 2 screws) to see if I can applique it and I think I can! I'd like to put the kids names on it, but I may sell it eventually, so that's not a good idea.

I bought some red velvet fabric and some heavy white cotton to make Sawyer a Prince Charming outfit!! I also bought the fabric for Tessa's newest Cinderella dress. So, I should be sewing right now instead of typing!

TERESA: How's that gorgeous dress coming?!

I was wondering if you were the one that purchased your machine from singertexas.com? If so they have great prices on thread! They have spools that are $1.99-$2.99! Thanks! Yes, I did purchase from singertexas.com. I did see that they have the $1.99 deal, but I'm having a hard time knowing what color to order. The colors don't show on the website, so I'm super confused. On that threadarts.com site, the colors do show, and it looks like the spools are as cheap as $1.65 each. If you buy a lot at a time, that could make a difference. But the biggest thing is that I need to be able to see the colors. I need to sort this ourt today so I can get started on some projects. ALSO, the whole thing with the bobbins - that's really strange. I wonder what the deal is with not using pre-wounds? The funny thing is, I bought the starter kit and it came with 10 pre-wounds. Strange. Did you get your machine from singertexas.com? Have you purchased thread there yet? I'm wondering if her shipping is as fast for thread as it is for the machine?

Those are great dresses. It looks like the girls had a blast even if the trip was cut short & I know my dd's would have LOVED getting to meet Aurora privately.

Ok, I'm excited! I haven't been creating Disney designs because we don't have a trip planned for probably a year from now. But my DH just bought tickets for me to take our DD to see the Doodlebops next month! SO! I've get to come up with a fresh custom! WOO HOO!
Ooooo, where are they playing? My kids aren't huge Doodlebops fans, but I know a few Moms round here that do like them.

Hey, how was the Chinese New Year show in Grand Prairie? I saw commercials for that & it looked good. I'm fascinated by those types of shows & the whole production (costumes, make up, dance, music & peek into another culture).

There was a 50 car pileup this morning 10 miles south of Disney. (Polk county-many Disney Cast members live in this area) They have confirmed 3 deaths. 20 semi's were involved. I was thinking on this & praying. Was there a final word as to how everyone is & what on earth would cause such a horrific chain of events?

Welcome fellow Texan sewstress! Nice work on all your posted outfits! Your daughters are cuties & love the pillow case dresses for the 4th! Yoo Hoo, TX pride!

Since Minnie's house is scheduled to be closed while we are there :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: I made my sister take a picture of my Dniece (and Dnephew) at Minnie's sewing machine. Minnieshouse.jpg
I would love to get a photo of my niece at Minnie's machine! Lucky, lucky girl.

We got a big 'ol box from disneyshopping.com yesterday. So, we modeled some of the stuff for you:

Here's Sawyer in his Peter Pan costume:
1-8-08PeterPan.jpg

Me wearing my Cinderella sweatshirt and my Cinderella crown with my Cinderella wand. I really wanted to wear the crown to the mall, but I restrained myself:
1-9-08Mewearingcrown2.jpg
!
Love the Pan on Sawyer, he looks so authentic! And, you, darling look beautiful! Just fabulous, go & embrace your inner princess girl!

And when I saw that crown on Lydia I ordered one for myself! I was on the phone with my sister (we shop together over the phone all the time) and she said "well, does Lily dress up that much?" I said "Lily? It's for ME!" :lmao: She (my sister) already thinks I'm mental (when it comes to Disney anyway).
oh, no,no, no....not mental, just a dreamer with her head in that Disney bubble (like all of us around here)! I'm loving all the tiara wearing around here!

Teresa e-mailed me a picture of the skirt part of the Giselle dress she's making. It's GORGEOUS so far!!! I can't wait to see it finished!
When are we going to see this picture? Not fair, I'm jealous! Tell your sister to get it done & posted! He he

One more thing! I went to Target today to try out the Baby Trend Sit 'N Stand stroller and it was on CLEARANCE!!!It seems really easy to push, even with both kids in it. It was also easy to fold up. The front seat doesn't recline very much, but I think it'll be okay.

Now, to keep this on topic, I need to figure out how to Disney-fy it!!
I checked this out at Target last year before our trip also. We almost bought it. I pulled it off the shelf & put both my kids in it (broke all the Target laws!). Any type of dual stroller is way too heavy with my big boys. So I bought a Maclaren umbrella for ds(3) & we rented for ds(6). I'm on the search for a bargain like yours on the Maclaren stroller for special needs for ds(6). It can hold up to 100 lbs & it looks less like a wheel chair. He really thrives on having a place to retreat from & the sling type seats on these help him recenter himself also. (Autism makes traveling much more complicated.)

Wow, why do the Brits get 1st dibs on our girl Giselle's dress? No fair! I knew there was a reason I should travel to Europe! If for nothing else than to shop at that store! He he

Does the sun shade come off? You could take that off and had your family name embroidered on the top portion - or a Mickey embroidered on it!
Love it! Are you offering your talents to do this for our sista in Michigan? So nice of you revrob!

Your girls are little cuties! Good job on the customs!

Heather Sue - LOVE the peter pan outfit!!! Sooo cute!!! Maybe you girls should get your hair "pixied" some day in the MK. I did it for new years eve and had a ball with it!! They were doing lots of people's hair - old and young, girls and boys in the barber shop!! It was a blast!!!
Wendy, I knew there was a reason I liked you! I wish I'd had my haired pixied at DL. I don't think they offer it there (not that we searched out anyway). So, I dusted myself with gold glitter body spray! One of the CM's noticed it & said "you have pixie dust on...why aren't you flying? Not enough happy thoughts today?" I felt sad about that because I had been sick all day, but just smiled though!

And I think this is my favorite picture of my Cinderella...

That took my breathe away, what a sweet, sweet memory. I hope that you scrapbook these photos & if you don't...frame those photos.

Hey Steph, there was a lady on our news today. We are having some flooding around here, and she was saying that there are fish swimming around in her DRIVEWAY!!! I thought that might interest you. ;)
Why is your Dh not out there ice fishing those dudes? ;)
