that is soooo sweet. me and my brother have not spoke in years.
hope my girls will be like you guys when they get older
Lori

Aww, that's sad. We have a brother too. If he called me up just to say he loved me, I'd fall over! (That's him in my signature, shielding his eyes in front of the castle)

I see the pictures of your girls together, and you can tell they really love each other.

Our first "major" snowstorm of the year and our furnace quit last night! And it's not that old, about 5 years. I'm freezing!!!!! I have a space heater plugged in to warm the living room and I even turned on the kitchen stove, but it's still so cold.

School's delayed 2 hours and it's about 25 degrees outside. Windchill in the teens. The kids played outside in the snow yesterday evening. They'll be very excited to see there's enough snow for sled riding. Here's a picture of them. DS is wearing a Mickey Mouse hat and gloves (trying to keep it a bit on topic):

Edited to add: I WANT TO BE AT DISNEY!!!!

ok bring on the V-Day customs ! Here is my first completed one for 2008! I do not make the peasant tops anymore. I have a friend that is amazing at them, so I mail her fabric and she does them for a small fee. It is very nice of her. I just got 13 back in the mail yesterday from her! Woo Hooo

SO CUTE Lori!!! I love that outfit! And Jojo,as usual is precious!!!

Hi sewers!

I haven't been around much lately (in the process of having 6 vein surgeries in my legs:scared1: ) but I just wanted to let everyone know about something scary that happened to me.

I know a lot of you use :wizard: and I assume that some of you use their "friendly pay service" too. I logged onto my bank account Sunday and found 3 e-checks for $83.23 each that had gone through my account. I have taken care of it, but I just wanted everyone to know to keep an eye out. I have heard the horror stories and now I have been ripped off too!

I've been trying to get on and look at everyone's creations and I am super frustrated with my computer right now. I can't get any of my pictures to load onto my photobucket acct. I need to have someone who knows what they are doing look at it!

Happy sewing!

Bought this last xmas from "that palace". and it fits a little wierd this year. I think the pants are meant to be bloomers on a size 5 girl. But she is a size 4, so this will be the only wear of this, for this year. I'll pack it way for next year I think! She wore it to school today.

I didn't realize you were so MEAN! :rotfl:

Our furnace is fixed for the lovely sum of $150. It needed a new ignitor. How I wish I had one of those handyman DH's. But alas, I have one that's good at watching t.v. At least the house is starting to warm up.

He is so handsome! LOL about the hair!!!!

And, no that doesn't look like a bad dog. SO.... it must have been someone else who chewed up your thread!

Yes. it was quite interesting that I found the chewed up spool on the dining room table, which means some child or husband found it on the floor and stuck it up there without letting me know, of course!

oh that is a bad doggy! His name is scrappy right? My scrappy does those things all the time!
Lori

Yes, Scrappy is a bad dog. He is curled up in my lap right now, just brimming with badness!

Listen, will you stop showing us up? :rotfl2: I am still working on Christmas!

I am so sorry! I have been getting strange e-mails from pay pal that I am not sure are real or not and I can't sign into pay pal, so I am a little worried too.

That is really cute!

That's awful! I found similar charges on my checking account statement a month or so ago. My bank looked into it, and it was from a company called Mazumah, which apparently had soemthing to do with the online company Greenzap. I NEVER write checks, so it stood out pretty easily on my statement. If anyone ever had dealings with Greenzap, they should check their statements carefully. Here's an article about it: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/417215/mazumah_mipaymentsbiz_greenzap_are.html

I hope your surgeries all go well. Try to take it easy!

TWO YEARS! That is an UNHANDY husband!

I'm glad you got your furnace fixed so fast!

I just wanted everyone here to know who helped me chose "one" dinner meal....I booked Garden Grill, and 1900 Park Faire ( dinner with Lady Tremaine and the Evil ones) and am trying to get Donald's Breakfast at AK, but apparantely this has been changed? Anyway so far my one meal has been upped to several! Thanks for all of the great advice!!

I used the YCMT stripwork jumper. The front and back panels were 20" wide and my ruffle panels were about 12" wide (plus seam allowance). I just sort of winged the ruffles. I cut out about a 3"x12" strip, then I would gather a ruffle and stitch it on to the top, then stitch another flat strip above that, then line up the next ruffle above it where I wanted and stitch that to the flat piece, then trim off the xtra on the flat piece, then add another, then another ruffle, etc.

Very cute!

Here's what I have come up with so far! I told you that I was going to have to CASE that ruffle idea that was posted earlier!

My princess is sick:sick: Not looking too pretty today! She loves it though and she said "Daddy, that is sooooo pretty!" Made me smile.:goodvibes

OOOOH!! You two just gave me an idea for some material I've had sitting around for the past year! I had some Build a Bear material that is a big ole print, more of a panel. I think I will try to CAB Lyddy and outfit with it! Now, the hard part, actually sewing it! Don't hold your breath, it will probably be a while. I don't whip up anything. Except for some REALLY good cookie bars last night!!! MMMMMM...............

You two are going to have so much fun!!!!

I think you are going to be really happy with those choices! Glad we can help!

Well, I washed, dried, ironed and cut out the pieces for the "fancy" Christmas dress (in between checking in here of course). Now the kids will be home from school and I am exhausted! :faint:

I'm leaving for Arizona on Friday (actually, we're driving to Chicago on Friday and then leaving for AZ on Saturday), so I've been busy getting stuff ready and making lots of lists. We're going to be staying with DH's brother and his wife in Wellton, AZ (near Yuma). My MIL, step-FIL, and Grandma-in-law will be there, too. So, we'll have 12 people in one little house. Please, send :goodvibes my way!! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, but I'm not looking forward to traveling with 2 kids.

So, I haven't been on here in a few days. You all are way too addictive!!

This is SO cute! Tessa will love this when I show it to her. I have some pretty sparkly heart fabric that I bought a few months ago and I've been waiting to make something with it. Now I have ideas!

So, my phone rings yesterday. I pick it up, and I hear, "I LOVE you!" It's Heather, the best sister in the world, calling. Now, anyone else, and I'd be like, "Ok, what is she going to want?" But, no, my sister just called to tell me that she loved me! How SWEET is that????? Of course, I got all teary. My husband just sat in the chair across from me and shook his head. His family isn't quite as close as we are!

Well, I just wanted to share that with my Disfamily!
I do love you!! People don't tell each other enough!

Sweet (sniff)!

Wow, I am glad we don't have to appologize for hair in this thread, but :scared1:
He is so cute!

Yeah, me too! When I asked Megan what we should get Daddy for Christmas she said (I swear I am not making this up), Let's get him some new hair!

Does this look like a bad dog to anyone?

I LOVE THIS! I really want to start on Valentine's - but no where here has fabric yet! I keep stalking the stores, and not finding anything!

Great work on the Valentine's Day outfits Tom and Lori. They are all gorgeous.

We all survived the Hannah Montana concert last night. She puts on a great show. I was very impressed with both her and the Jonas Brothers. Here are a few pics.

The girls and I:

This pic was taken just for all you disboutiquers. It is Miley Cyrus in her Kayia Eve pettiskirt. She's even sort of twirling.

If you are able to get tickets to her show it was definitely worth the money :thumbsup2 .

We leave in 1 week. So all you Floridians, PLEASE keep the weather nice and warm for us.
