I guess everything I have made for the babes is too big so here she is . . .

This is a CRT.

This her first birthday. (This photo proves she wore the dress twice. :rotfl: )

This is my older DD. I saw it and it cracked me up. Right as I took this photo she said "Daddy, I like coffee!" She was drinking my latte.

Aimee, they're both so adorable. They look so much alike. Great smiles :goodvibes

:cool1: :cool1: Oh,Lisa my dear, you are so very talented. You should really be a designer for one of those Rodeo Drive children's lines. You truly are blessed in so many ways...you can sew, design, have an eye for color and structure, draw and paint...I am humbled. And your Zoe is such a beautiful happy child. I just love those pictures of her and all your designs. I bow down to you, my queen....you are the BOMB!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Ok, here it is. I still need to work on re-sizing, but this was originally an 8x10. I'm sure digital snapshots will work better.

This is my Rebecca, she's 2 years old, and the reason I'm following this thread. I'm working on a few Disney related things, and I'll post those when I've got something to show.

I missed this the first time around and had to search for it after reading teresajoy's post. Did you make the entire dress or just do the smocking? It's beautiful!

I can't wait to see the rest of your creations :)

Hi everyone.... ok so I checked into POR today... who made the pirate dress with the black material with small white skulls? the top was shirred... I know I saw it here LOL... It was a curly haired blonde girl

I saw the kids in the gift shop tonight but couldt remember who it was and I didnt want to approach them lol

THAT WAS ME! We were supposed to go on a carriage ride that night and it was rained out. :sad1:

I think my kids weren't very good there. I hope you didn't hear too much yelling. I'm still catching up on this thread. You've all been busy while I was gone. I have lots of pics I need to post.

We went to the Pirate & Princess Party Friday night. What a rainy mess! I was so disappointed. But we were dressed for it. DN10 was in the shirred dress. (The pic you remember was of my DD. She was modeling it.) DD5 and DD4 had pirate skirts. DN6 had a pirate top and so did I. DS1 had pirate map overalls. What fun we had, even with the rain.

I made other stuff, too that I need to post. But first I want to finish this thread!

Your daughter is beautiful and so is the dress! I've attempted smocking but I'm sooooo slow so put it aside until things quiet down after Christmas.

I missed it, if anyone posted a reply, yet ... so, sorry if this is a repeat.

Did anyone find/need
a source for
LARGE RICK RACK?

WRIGHTS makes it ... "MAXI RICK RACK" ...
several colors, 1 1/4" wide ...
the metallics are 1" wide :)
sold by the spool (or in yards off a spool retail) ...

I found this in a search. ( *CLICK ME* )

The 7 colors, on the right, have the best price, that I could find.
Here's the search ( *CLICK ME* )

There's tons of other brands, sizes, colors out there, too ...

Hopefully, that helps. :)
I was at Hobby Lobby today and they has some in a few colors. I think, red, black, yellow, white??

Would've answered this way back on the 22nd, but I've been out of town n ad am back now!
No outfits to look for yet (unless I make some kind of baby on board t-shirt for DD.... anyone have any ideas??) I'm just storing up ideas so when this one is finally born, I can go like lightening on the sewing projects! I already have the fabirc

How about "Minnie Mouse On Board" or something with the "Mouse on board theme?" Maybe in rhinestones/studs with the mickey/minnie head?

My daughter at 4 (and a half) princess: begs to go to Super Target for Sushi and Frappachinos - NOPE She's not mine! I SWEAR! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Have a question as well - I am in the process of badly coming up with an idea to make a matching overalls and skirt for my DD and DS, I have some puppy love stuff and iron ons but how do i sew the patches on the jeans without opening the seams - I know if I want the "deco" look I can open the seams BUT I want them in places like the knees etc... how do I do that???

Lisa - your stuff is beautiful!!

I have to agree with some of the eBay comments - I was just browsing and thinking to myself these little girls are WAY too made up... but they are beautiful kids!

Please post my favorite picture of Zoe :rotfl:

Do you mean this one? I swear, she's using the troll's nose to keep from falling off his foot but the photo definitely looks like something else is happening. ;)

<--- me blushing. LOL

I don't know about Rodeo Drive but I am working with a woman to try to get a children's clothing line launched. It's still in the planning stages so I'm not counting any money yet but it's an awesome opportunity even if we don't hit it big.   We're trying to find a reliable factory to manufacture the garments. We'd hoped to have our first collection ready for Spring of 2008 but it's looking more likely that we'll go for Fall 2008. There's so much more to it all than I'd ever considered but it's something I dreamed of doing since high school... although at that time I wanted to design for adults but doing kid's clothes is definitely more fun.

Oh yeah, that would be my three year old. She gets to Starbucks and ask for a frappychino! She is a little me!

That's the one. It still cracks me up :rotfl:

Well this is not a custom and she's not making a face, but I love this picture of my 4 year old. This was taken at Epcot last year. She actually slept through the Survivor concert they had in the outside amphitheatre in front of American Adventure . I call it the pooped princess

tommygirl - I'm not kidding! (And don't call me shirley. :rotfl: ) When I post my first attempt at applique - or even the mess I made when I fake appliqued using fabric paint - you'll see why I need help!

stephres - I think your outfits are adorable! I'm coordinating with the kids I'm taking - and they're not even mine.
You just need to make coordinating bows now! heh.

lisa - I think your photos are just right - I hate how some of the photos on that site are over the top -
no offense if any of the sellers are here, I'm just a purist - I think kids should be kids without makeup and weird pouty lips.
unless it's natural.
ps - will you make me an outfit using the celery dogwood fabric? Heh. Just kidding.
"wierd pouty lips" LOL - I was wondering too why she more often than not has the pouty lips instead of a smile.

She's very sweet!

I was wondering why my pics are not showing up when you all are quoting me - I realized you are using the th_ to resize - only I don't use photobucket so it makes the url wrong. Just wanted to let you all know the th_ only works for photobucket. Not that I mind them not showing up - LOL - I was just trying to figure out what was happening.

Thank you! I agree about the pouty lips and airbrushing. I do some basic editing to improve the photos and have covered some scrapes and scratches so they aren't distracting. Aside from that, Zoe is being a kid... and the pouty faces don't get used except for future blackmail when she's a teen. :lmao: My biggest problem is getting her to stop talking long enough to take the pictures. And then of course there are the many photos like these...

LOL - Love it.....

Okay everyone here are my first creations of matching Disney outfits for my girls. I did alright on the sewing and found that it wasn't a hard project once I got that hang of it.
Let me know what you think....

This is the front of the baby's dress that I made.

This is the back of the outfit. As for the Disney letters on the back I wanted them to be slanted and the picture does nothing for it. It looks way cuter in person.

I think you did a great job! Looks like your girls love them too - which is most important!
