http://www.wordreference.com/definition/wonkyIt is?! Cool
I never noticed I thought everyone said this.![]()
Maybe a british term?
I also found this definition at merriam Webster:
wonky
One entry found for wonky.
Main Entry: won·ky
Pronunciation: 'wä[ng]-kE
Function: adjective
Inflected Form(s): won·ki·er; -est
Etymology: probably alteration of English dialect wankle, from Middle English wankel, from Old English wancol; akin to Old High German wankOn to totter
1 British : UNSTEADY, SHAKY
2 chiefly British : AWRY, WRONG
So, it looks like it is more of an English word.
Maybe a british term?

there are at least 8 more patterns that I HAVE to have and quite a few more that I would like to have. I was good, I only bought one today so I can conquer a twirly skirt or two. I didn't want my husband to flip out.
He's already told me to knock off the fabric buying for awhile. I'm trying to be good until next pay day but I actually should be set on fabric until we get back from our Sept. trip and then I can get started on outfits for our Nov./Dec. trip.
I am not any help, but I wanted to let you know you are not alone
. Ah, thus is life
I do think it would be wonderful to get the pattern number. I'm always trying to figure out how to Case things
I wish I could get more detail attached to everything (who made it, pattern number, etc) but oh well.
Thanks so much!!! I started with McCalls pattern #5221 view F - then just modified it to add the tulle. I bought the strip tulle at JoAnn that is in rolls and sewed two layers to the back of the ruffles before gathering. I found out that tulle isn't the easiest to work with - but love the end result.
Brian(dh) pet name for me is Tessie. I was sooo honored when Heather told me she was going to name her that!!
