Kids Digital Camera...

I'm sure this topic has come up before...so, I figured I would bring it up again, since it's close to Christmas.

My DS5 enjoys taking pictures with our digital camera. Being he is only 5, I don't like to let him use our $200 camera very often. I don't want to buy a "film" camera because I will be paying a fortune in photo development costs on pictures of his feet, the TV, the floor in our house, etc.

So...I decided I'd like to buy a digital camera for him. I don't want to spend more than about $50 or $60....but, I also don't want to buy a $19.95 Kidz Cam that gets horrible reviews and can only hold 20 pictures.

I'm looking for something in the 1 to 2 Megapixel range that has a flash for indoor pictures and a memory card slot to add additional memory....all for less than $50 or $60.

I was able to find this.....1.3MP Batman Camera...for $39 at my local Wal-Mart....

My question is this....has anyone here purchased one of these Batman cameras? Does it take ok pictures?

Before I found that camera...I was looking at either purchasing:

1. An older 1.3 Megapixel or 2.0 Megapixel camera on eBay. I was looking at the Kodak CX-6200 or CX-6230....which was selling in the $60 range on eBay.

or

2. A Vivitar camera. Models 3650 (2 MP) or 3785 (3 MP) are both "cool" designs that are small enough for my DS5. They were running in the $60 to $80 range.

I would really like to purchase the Batman camera....but, I can't find any reviews on it. I just want to make sure that the pictures come out ok and we don't get stuck with a bunch of fuzzy and blurry pictures. I was also particularly interested in have expandable memory so that my DS5 could take lots of pictures (more than 20) on our next trip to WDW.

I also checked out the discontinued JamCam 3.0....but, I don't like the fact that the pictures are stored in some type of proprietary format that only the discontinued JamCam software can decrypt.

Any advice?

I have an older Fuji digital camera -- it's at least 2 megapixels, that I wanted to sell. It even has a memory card. It's in perfect condition; I just wanted to upgrade my camara.

Check out Wal-mart stores they have digital cameras fat least 2.1 to 3.0 megepixels for under 80.00 dollars. I think seen the 2.1 megapixels camera price 39.99.

Check Sears out to they had 3.0 megapixels camrera for 49.99 Digimax I think.

I got a digital camera for my then 5 year old DD for the exact same reason. I got a great deal from Circuit City for Kodak Easy Share 3.1 mega pixels. I think I paid around 80.00 but got a free 128 MB Scan Disk and a $10.00 gift card to use later. She loves it and takes all the pictures she wants. There is usually some great deals out there for the before Christmas sales, just keep an eye out.

My friend bought her son the batman camera and says it's really bad. The delay is really bad. You have to wait for it to beep 2x. the kid hears it beep once and moves before the second beep so all of their pictures have been blurry.

We bought our daughter one for her birthday from Target for $79. They were on the rack with the 35mm film (not in the case with the other cameras). It's 2 mp and takes decent outdoor pictures. It doesn't take very good pictures indoors though. It also does movies, which she loves. Her grandma bought her a 256m card so she can snap away to her hearts content and not run out of room.
