Kids Dessert?

Does anyone know if on the DDP do the kids get a dessert at a CS meal? Or are the grapes or applesauce that come with the kids meal considered the dessert?

Unfortunately, there isn't much offered. I often see "Jello" as the dessert at counter service. I know at Pop Century that is all the kids are offered while the adults eat cheesecake and all kinds of wonderful delights. Many counter services provide Jello only. My kids don't consider Jello a dessert!

I would like to know as well. Per the dining plan, it states combo meal AND dessert so it should be a separate dessert. I don't consider grapes and applesauce dessert. I know that a cookie can be substituted, but they shouldn't have to substitute to get the cookie. It should be additional since the dining place states combo AND dessert.

Cosmic Rays had cookie, Peco Bills had choc pudding or cookie, Restausaurus only had jello. This was May 07.

Last year, I found that this varied. Some CS places allowed you the cookie/jello/pudding in addition to the meal. Others it was part of the choice. We had lots of those cookies because they're wrapped and therefore good for saving until later. Believe me, the kids get so much junk anyway that it becomes not a big issue at all.

I agree that it states combo meal AND dessert. Unfortunately I was at Captain Cooks and the cashier was quite insistant the dessert was a substitution for one of the sides in the combo meal. I spoke to the manager who said that the substitution was the rule at Captain Cooks, but never-the-less gave me the desset (choice of pudding or cookie) to make up for the miss-understanding.
