I've seen on a few navigators that there are a few cooking classes in the kids club. Does anyone know what they typically cook?

My 8 yo loved them. She tried to attend all of them. I know she did cupcakes and cookies. I got the impression that they focused more on the decorating than actually cooking. I don't think they did any actual baking.

DS has done the cookie class a few times.

Note: they mix up normal, at-home, cookie ingredients and send them off. Then they get ship-made cookies back (with a slightly less wholesome list of ingredients). So it's not actually THEIR cookies that they are eating. In case that makes a difference in terms of the child's feelings or (IMO more importantly) their health.

Yes we checked on this for DS's sake (with the club who called the kitchen who got back to them). Silly kid keeps forgetting that the cookies are actually safe for him, and gives them to other kids doing the class.

Oh and he really likes it. It's fun for him. I think he's done the class at 9 and 10 years old. Maybe 8, too.

My DS (7 yrs old) attended one of these classes, and he really enjoyed it. They made cookies. He said everyone was able to actively participate. I actually saw the tail end because I had to pick him up a few minutes early in order to get him to the show that evening. He would have liked to attend more of them, but we just didn't have enough time. It was hard to schedule in all of the fun activities at the kid's club on top of everything else!
