Hi all,

With kids meals now at most CS locations they are offering a pre-packaged chocolate chip cookie. Can anyone post ingredients and any cross contam warnings. I'm hopeful this will be a viable dessert option for us that is easy to get anywhere and portable...

Thanks!

Yvonne

My kids with peanut/tree nut allergies were told to avoid the cookies served at CS during our June trip. They chose the grapes or jell-o option. I believe there are some pre-packaged cookies made by Divvies that are sold in some Disney shops that are safe. Disney often changes suppliers, and the suppliers often change manufacturing techniques, so it's best to double-check things when you get to Disney.

What is the allergy?

I'd avoid all baked goods - we're told repeatedly that they are all may contains if nothing else - for peanut/tree nut.

There are Divvies cookies, caramel corn and jelly beans sold at the main street bakery and other locations that are peanut/tn free.

I happen to have one of the new CS desert Chocolate chip cookies in front of me - I brought it home because I was surprised to see trans fat on the list of ingredients because of Disney's "focus on children's health" and I planned on writing someone to see why they are serving cookies with trans fat to kids.

Anyway, ingredients listing ends with " contains wheat, eggs, milk, and soy. Processed in a plant that contains peanuts, tree nuts, sulphites, and tetrazine.

What's tetrazine?

If you need anything else from the label let me know

Tetrazine is (probably among other things) the yellow part of yellow #5.
