Kids clubs ??

What's the differences between Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab?

We want to make this a Family Vacation spending it together but DH and I would also like to try Palo if we're lucky enough to get a ressie and possibly try and get a ressie for the surial bath.

Will my 4 and 7 year olds (at the time) be able to spend their time away from us together and is it hard to get you kids into these (meaning they fill up fast) and do you have to book this right away or can the kids decide during the day of they choose to go and not have a problem getting in?

There is space for every child in the lab/club you do not need to make reservations. (only x amount of children are allowed on the cruise so that everyone is insured a spot) I don't think your 4 year old and 7 year old would be together though. If I recall correctly the four year old would be in the club and the seven year old accross the hall in the lab. Also it is not difficult to get reservations for Palo as long as you do not have your heart set on a specific date/time. We had no problem with our first choice-made the ressie right upon boarding.

Just register the children upon boarding and you will get kid's navigators and you can let the children decide which activities they are intereted in.

7 yo's are in the CLUB. They do break up the club age groups though sometimes and the older ones get to go to the Lab or do other activites.

DD was 7 1/2 last Jan when we sailed and she was in the Club. They did have the 6 & 7 yo off at other places sometimes - They do have a separate Navigator for the 4-5 & 6-7 age groups even though they are both in the club.

Both kids will be in the Oceaneer CLUB but in different age groupings. The younger one will be in the 3-4 group and the older in the 5-7 group.

My kids will be 4.5 and 6 at the time of sailing.

Do they allow to move the 6 year old to the 3-4 group, or move the 4.5 year old to the 5-7 group?

Ling,

Older children are allowed to move down, however I think your 6 yo will get bored real quick with the younger kids.

They will let younger kids move up to the next age group if they are within 1 month of the "proper" birthday, but if you ask and your child is mature enough, they may agree to bump the younger one up on a "conditional /test" basis. (Meaning if he/she fits in OK they will be allowed to stay in the higher age group)

Honestly, I would suggest putting you kids in their respective age groups first, they'll make friends and have a great time... the counselors know exactly how to keep the littles ones happy!
