Kids clubs and bathroom?

When was that? In 2015 (on the Wonder) parents were NOT allowed in to the club (beyond the check in gates) during closed programming. There was also no one monitoring the restrooms.
We have been told where our child was and always have been let in to retrieve. JW

My DD is 5 and will be just a few weeks shy of turning 6 when we cruise. She is fully capable of using the restroom by herself. I was more inquisitive as to whether the boys and girls bathroom are adjacent, out in the middle of the club where the CMs could see a boy entering the wrong restroom, or where a CM monitors who goes in and comes out? I will be a bit more apprehensive to leaving her in the clubs if the restrooms are adjacent, in the back of the club, with no one watching them.
What are you worried about exactly? Are you afraid a boy is going to do something to your daughter? Kids make mistakes and I wouldn't say are looking to prey on one another.

When I was on the Dream(2015) and the Fantasy (2016) there was a cast member outside the bathrooms every time I walked by to pick up my daughter. I think the counselors are great. I spent quite a bit of time in the clubs waiting for my daughter to be ready to leave when I picked her up. I watched the cast members interact, organize, check, clean up, etc. and never saw any of them just socializing with each other which I HAVE seen in all of my experiences in other child care settings. I completely understand working with kids (I started babysitting when I was 12, worked in a daycare center 2 years, was a nanny for 8 years, and have been a teacher for 16 years). I appreciate the youth counselors. It would be like being a substitute teacher all the time. You never REALLY get to know the kids because of the short time with them and so it is very hard to make those personal relatable connections. I had some GREAT interactions with the youth counselors at the whale dig at Castaway Cay.

This was my experience too. I took my 3 &5 year old DDs to open house the first day and showed them the bathroom, they had no problems and the kids club staff were great! My girls recognized the CMs all over the ship and at castaway cay as "friends" from the club. We went in October so there were probably not as many kids as a summer cruise.

Boys bathrooms and girls bathrooms are on complete opposite sides of the club. We've been on all 4 ships, over a 5 year period, and every time I've been inside the clubs to get my son (he has autism, so they let me in with a lanyard to guide him out gradually), a CM is posted near each of the bathroom entrances, and keeps an eye on who goes in and out...

I love my job. Im on vacation right now, but unfortunately, Im pretty sure Im not going back :(
Oh no, I was hoping to 'meet' you this week on the Wonder, we board on Friday.

Our last cruise on the Wonder was 2013, and our daughter still talks about Meghan (from Australia) and Becca (from the US I think, maybe Canada) that we met on that cruise.

:( I started on the Wonder in late 2013, but transferred over a year ago now. I'd love to see the 'new' wonder now. I have a few good friends who are still on the Wonder.
Enjoy. I'm jealous haha.
