This is our first trip to Disney with our DS -5. It is also our 10 year anniversary and Disney is where we honeymooned. So my DH and i thought we'd go to dinner to celebrate one night just the two of us; i am a little hesistant to do the clubhouses but my son is very social and i think he'd really enjoy it. We were told the Peter Pan one at the Polyesian is the best one but any thoughts, comments, recommendations to sooth a nervious mom's mind!

Can I ask why you are nervous? What do you envision happening?

We've been to the Sandcastle Club at the BC, Simba's Cubhouse at AKV and Cub's Den and VWL. My son loved all of them. In fact, the first time, he cried when he had to go...then he begged to go back each night. Now each time we go, he wants to go back. There are toys and games and Wii and other kids to play with and they feed them.

Normally I put him in the club closest to where we are having dinner.

The clubs I mentioned are smaller and would be well suited to a younger child. I hear the Neverland Club is fabulous, but it is also bigger and more chaotic.

Oh, and Happy anniversary!

Thank you so much; i'm just a nervous mom i guess - I know he will love it. I am debating between the cubs den at WL and the Peter Pan at Poly. What times do kids usually go like 6-9??

We normally eat at 8, so we tend to drop him off around 7 and pick up around 10 or 11, depending on what we are doing.

When you get there, you fill out a form with information and pick out dinner from several choices. Outside adults don't have access to the kids play area, only CMs do.

They take your cell phone number so they can call you if anything is wrong, which is nice piece of mind. Our phone has never rung!

My boys have been to the Neverland Club at the Poly twice and they love it. Both times we dropped them off at 5:30 and picked them up around 9:00.

Where will you be going to dinner? We would put our kids in the club closest to where we were eating so we didn't waste too much time traveling.

My kids both loved The Never Land Club at the Polynesian and Simba's Cub house at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was a sad day when our oldest aged out of the clubs.....but now we can leave them in the room for a while if they don't want to go where dh & I want to go.

Your son will love the clubs and you will love the adult time. Don't be surprised if he doesn't want to leave... :)

Last trip my DS's stayed at Simba's club house at AKL and loved it. I was very comfortalbe leaving them there. Our trip in May they are staying at the Sand Castle at Yacht and Beach Club. DS who is almost 10 isn't to excited about it this trip but I think he will have fun once he gets there. A night of video games he will be very happy.
