Kids Club Reservations

First time DCL sailor here!

I just completed online check-in this evening. Although I got a great PAT (woohoo!), the youth club registration for my 3- and 6-year-old kiddos confused me. The language on the website during registration says, "...youth club activities need to be booked exclusively and are available on a first come, first serve basis. Youth club registration does not mean guaranteed reservation in youth club activities spaces" I had read that kids club reservations went away sometime this year, but this language makes me think different. If I do need to register for times, I can't for the life of me find where to do this on the app or the website. It's not an option under "my plans" that I can see. Please help!

We didn't need to reserve anything when we sailed last month. We did need to register them when we did the online check in 30 days before. They will get a wristband once on the ship, and during the open house parents can tour the club and lab.

I think this is the old language. Because you are also entering reg data at check in, there is still no guarantee your kid can get in at any time depenending on how many kids are already there

So do the kids clubs fill up often to where they turn kids away? If so, wondering what time(s) we should aim to arrive to get a spot.

They can on some sailings. Really varies.

I probably haven't been on many crazy-full ships in my 13 cruises, but I've never heard of a club turning kids away for capacity. I'm not suggesting it doesn't happen. That's just my experience.

It's possible the club capacities might be lower these days, if they are still having staffing issues?
