Kids Club Registration Questions

Is it necessary to sign the kids up for the kids club immediately or can you wait until they are ready to use the club? Since this is our first cruise, I'm not sure of the purpose of getting in line as soon as you board to register the kids. Are there some kids events that you need to register for that book up? Since we aren't doing the spa or Palo's, I'd prefer to not have to wait on any lines when we board but rather spend the time enjoying the ship while it still may be relatively quiet.

Thanks for your input!

You don't have to sign up immediately when you board. But you might want to wander by sometime the first afternoon to see if there are lines. We usually register right after lunch with no lines - if you go after dinner you'll find lines for sure.

I would recommend signing up the first day - getting the beeper and the arm band for your kids. Then you'll be ready in case they want to use the club. The may hear about the Flubber Making night and want to join in the fun.

We were able to register in the terminal before we boarded, so we didn't waste any quality time once on board!

My advice is to go ahead and sign them up the first day. The reason I say that is because it is so easy to drop your child off any time during the cruise unless you get behind someone who is signing their children up. It holds up the line for everyone. Sometimes you don't expect the line and it makes you late of some of the events. That is just my opinion from my past cruise.

From what others have posted recently, I would plan to sign your child up in the terminal. Several folks have mentioned having Dad stand in the boarding line after you check in and get your KTTW cards while Mom and the kids go register for the Club/Lab and get the beeper and armbands. If this doesn't work out, wander by the club after you board and register them when there isn't a line. From what I've read, now that you can register in the terminal, the lines in the club in the afternoon are pretty short.

I agree with the previous poster who said to register them the first day. It makes it easier on the CMs when you decide to drop your child off for an activity if they're already registered.

i've read in a few places that you should try to get them in the lab as early as possible. it's easier to be one of the first kids in the room...than walking into a room full of kids that have already formed groups.

We'll try to register at the terminal. That sounds like a good idea.

So what about the events for the kids, do they require a seperate registration (like Tea w/Wendy)?
