I've read that Neverland at Poly is highly regarded. How about the other kids programs at Wilderness and Contemporary? Any bad experiences?

DH says he's not so sure about leaving our 5 yo DD.

Thoughts?

Taz angel, welcome to the Dis!

My children have stayed at the Poly's Never Land Club many times. They always had a wonderful time. They have also stayed at the kids' clubs at the GF, AKL, and BCV (and multiple times at all of those, too). They have never had a bad experience. If you want to "search" the Dis for others' experiences, please do so. For the most part, I don't remember reading of any bad experiences.

I have some photos of the kids' clubs:
AKL's Simba's Cubhouse Photo Album
BCV's Sandcastle Club Photo Album

I also wrote about my daughter's experience at the Sandcastle Club in a trip report: click here (look for post entitled "Beach Club Villas Day Two, Part 2") and also click here (look towards bottom of page or "search" page for word "Sandcastle").

I hope this helped.

My dd asked about the Neverland Club so during the day we went in and played there. It was just us, no other kids were there, and so she begged to come back at night when other kids would be there to play with. She's an only child and I think she gets bored with just us on vacation, lol. She has a hard time connecting with other kids. We also never leave her anywhere without us, even at home. She's 7yo, but she has a learning disability that makes her behavior a bit unpredictable and she has a hard time with complex language making herself understood (like if there was a problem with something). We plan to leave her there next visit but only for a short period of time while we remain nearby at the resort. A trial of sorts.
The club itself was like any daycare type setting inside, and I am sure all of the clubs are similar but with different themes. Toys, tv, food, video games, arts and crafts. You might try a visit to the club during the day to check it out for yourself.

I have older kids ages 8 and 10 and they still beg to go everytime we are at disney to the Neverland Club.

We really like the set up and the staff is always friendly.
they give you a beeper so they can keep in touch with you- just in case.

we have never had any problems, except that the kids dont want to leave when we come pick them up!!

we are going again this summer and they will be almost 9 and 11.
