Of the cruise lines listed, which do you think has the best kids club for kids whose ages are 12 yrs old and 8 years old. When my younger one was 7, she was bored at night in the club, but enjoyed the activities during the day. She was in the 5-7 group then.

If a cruise line isn't listed please add your comment in a post.

Thanks
Joanna

Come on more than 5 of us have been on other cruise ships with kids.

I voted for Disney - it was our first and will be only cruise line!

Michael (8) says he doesn't want to go on any other cruises - he wants the Mouse!!!!! Smart kid, must take after MY side of the family tree!

DS9 just returned yesterday from his second cruise in 30 days.......yes, 30 days lucky kid!

He did the 6/21 Western Magic with myself, DH, DS6 and DD4. He was totally hooked on the clubs, and rarely met us for dinner as he was just too involved! I kind of resented it, but came to the realization that he was having a good time, and DH and I were having some major quality time!

Anyway, he returned yesterday from the Carnival Paradise with Ex, Ex's wife and stepsister 12. Yes, he revisited Grand Cayman and Cozumel, but also saw Honduras and Belize. He says Stingray City was worth the second trip!!!

He did not like the Carnival Kids Clubs. He thought they were "boring". He spent very little time in the clubs. This is a kid that is easily entertained and can make his own fun, so that is a giant sign to me that Disney far outweighs Carnival in the "kids's view of fun" category!!!

Interestingly enough, he complained about the small size of the cabin. We had two 10's, so I imagine they had something of similar level? Anyway, as we talked I asked him if maybe the room seemed smaller because they had four in the room and we had five in two 10's? He agreed maybe so.

We liked the DCL Kids Clubs. Our kids loved them and we also had the, "But I don't want to go to dinner," line a couple of times. The kids biggest gripe was they didn't jump in with both feet sooner.

Now that is exactly what this poll needed - a kid's viewpoint about the clubs! You can't go wrong if you ask a kid - they are often brutally honest!

Yes, lucky kid!!!!

Exactly right Rae...It sgreat to hear a kids viewpoint, since its a poll about them. On another post I was reading that RCCL has the bunks coming out over the master bed, unless you get a balcony stateroom. Talk about a small room.

bunks over the master bed? Pray tell, are the bottoms mirrored?

Bad joke there......but still bunks over the master bed....no way, Jose!

Rae...ROTFL, one can only hope, at least when the kids are in the clubs, that is.

Ain't it great to be in love with your love after almost 21 years of marriage (7/28 for us!!!!)
