Kids club on Magic question

Hi everyone. I am a first time DCL cruiser heading out on the Magic December 30. My question is my kids will be 10 and 13. I suspect no matter which kids club they like they will want to be together. However the first club says to age 12 and the next club says starts at age 11. Does anyone have any experience with the clubs and how strict they are on age limits?

I believe that kids can age up into the new club but can not age down. So your 10 year old should be able to go to Edge but the 13 can not go to the Lab.

And they can attend each club during open house times, if they aren't both in Edge.
