Okay - I'm still not 100% clear on how the Magic Band works... I know there is a max/day that can be put on per room. That can then be topped up by CC if you get close to going over.

Is it possible to allow kids a smaller amount on their bands like spending money?

Thanks.

:)

nothing is being charged to your magic band.

its being charged to your room reservation and then if/when you exceed the amount allotted for your resort level it will automatically be put on your CC.

you cannot set a certain amount for your children to charge.
all you can do is allow or deny their bands access.

if you only want your kids to have a set amount of spending money then put that amount on a gift card.

Agree with the PP. You cannot set certain amounts for kids.

I always ask at check-in to have charging privileges added for my kids. I think the default is that kids do not have charging set up on their MBs.

Yes, they can have charging privileges. It's up to you if you want to allow it or not.

Do they allow kids to have charging privileges? My understanding was no?

I was there last week with 2 - 16 year olds and both their bands they could buy whatever they wanted. Thank goodness because 2 of us came down with the flu and the other kid was still able to get to the parks on her own and get food etc for herself using the band!
