What do your kids pack in the carry-on bags on the airplane?

As we are leaving from Massachusetts, I am going to have my DD pack a pair of shorts in her backpack in case when we leave (IN 21 DAYS!!!!) it is cold here, and as we all know warm in WDW. She is also going to be packing her homework from school to work on, on the plane as well as her gameboy and some snacks.....

Just some ideas.....

Roachie :bounce:

On our most recent trip my son packed:
His gameboy and games, Cd player, CD's and a magazine.
I would recommend adding some gum as on our flight there we had a real
problem w/our ears and on the way back we stopped at a store at the airport to
get some and they don't sell gum at the airport!??

My son and I will be in the sky 35 days from this minute!! He'll have the mickey activity books, mickey games to be used on the plane, gameboy, cd player, etc. I'm planning on having the snacks, drinks, toiletries, shorts, etc. And I'll hopefully have any clothes that I wasnt able to have driven down a week before. MIL and husband are driving down 4 days before son and I fly down. I'm hoping to not have to check anything in, just carry-ons.

My b/g twins will be almost 4 when we go in 18 days! Each has a smaller sized backpack with wheels and a handle(his in blue, hers in pink, of course). This way they can wheel their carry on stuff on the plane like mommy. The backpack detaches from the wheel harness and can be used just like a regular backpack too. I will be packing all new stuff in their backpacks hoping to keep them entertained for the almost 3 hour flight: crayons, coloring books, reading books, stickers/books, modeling clay, small puzzles, cards, fun snacks, etc. I tried to find as much of this stuff as possible with a Disney theme/characters on them. I will be carrying their change of clothes and a portable CD player with their favorite Disney songs, too.

Disney toys, reading books, coloring books, crayons, change of clothes, and on and on.

Small Disney activity book, markers, snacks, juice box, ring pop, gum, change of clothes, her special toy and ear planes!!!!!!!!!

It depends on how old the child is:

My 10 year old, I usually pack, the indispensible GameBoy, CD player and CD's (We made a CD last year at AK with all our favorite Disney songs on it, my kids just LOVE it), Markers or colored pencils and paper.

My 2, 5 & 6 year olds, I usually pack: Disney coloring books, stickers, colorform books, travel size magna doodle, juice boxes, animal crackers and bananas or apples.

Hope this helps!

My 6 yr. old daughter will have her own little backback with her gameboy, gel pens and paper, a small snack, a juice box and a deck of cards. :D 46 days to go!!
