:pinkbounc We're taking our two kids for their birthday in September for four days Thursday-Sunday. DD will be 7, DS will be 5. Does Disney offer any special birthdays to-dos. We'll be staying at Wilderness Villas, so I was thinking the hoop-dee-do....? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

We let them know upon checkin(also when we made ariginal reservation) about dd's 9th b-day last week. The Poly sent 2 cakes(we had 12 in our party)balloons, party hats and blowers and a card to the room. My dd was thrilled! We also did Chef Mickey's on her b-day. They bring out a cupcake with a candle and sing happy b-day. Later in the week we did Cinderellas b-fas and they decorate the table with confetti and streamers and sing Happy birthday and give a certificate saying you had your b-day there. I thought they did a better job of the celebration than chef mickey! We also got her a birthday button that she wore all week(got it at city hall in mk) She really enjoyed everyone wishing her a happy b-day.

Thanks- I really need to start making some ressies. We've never been to Chef Mickeys, but have wanted to try it out! It's just going to be the four of us - we're having a "friends" party before our vacation - and we want it to be special. To be honest we're always looking for a reason to visit Disney, this was a great excuse!!! We love it. Thanks again for the tips.

I had Jane with Gifts of a Lifetime (www.giftsofalifetime.com) do a scavenger hunt for my son's birthday. He LOVED it and was not pleased that I did not do that the following year.

We also do either Chef Mickey's or Cinderella's Castle for breakfast for his birthday. This past year, I had Jane and the Pixies decorate the room. Jordan liked that, too. They not only decorated the room, but also had a cake. We took the cake out by the pool and shared it with others.

My dd and I will be breakfasting at Cinderella's two weeks before her 5th birthday. I didn't mention it when I called for the PS (I was just so frantic to get the seating ;) ) and now I'm wondering if I should. It might just confuse her, then again it would make her feel really special. Decisions, decisions. Any opinions?

I would get to your ps a few minutes early and let them know that it is for her birthday. It only takes a minute for them to set up the table and it really is a great way to celebrate your dd's b-day. You're right that it will make her feel very special. I think it was a highlight of my dd's week.
