Hi - Can anyone tell me if there are any supervised childrens programs at CC for kids? Like, where we adults could leave them for an hour or so, so we can check out the adult beach??? Totally selfish reason, I know... :flower:

how old are the kids ?

the oceaneer club has a supervised program on cc which was great starts a 3yrs of age

Teens have scuttles cove ....

Oooh! I'd love to hear more about this as well! My little ones will be 5 and 7. I've looked for info about CC children activities and didn't come up with much. I'd love to have beach downtime with Mr. FFerret!

The kids clubs move to Scuttles Cove on Castaway Cay. IT is an area for the kids to play. They do not take them in the water, instead they have supervised activites, and also are taken to lunch at the BBQ...There are some games played in the sand, and some sport games.

Personally we found this area to be just SO HOT, so we left ours there for like an hour on our first trip, and went to get them, and they were Beet red.. :sunny: They LOVE the kids clubs, but found it too hot, so now we do the family beach thing.. :grouphug:

5 and 7 yr olds fall into the oceaneer club ....I dont remember if they would be in the same group but the club on the ship moves to land at CC when you get off the boat as you get closer to the family beach and before the first store on the right hand side is where the kids go. just like on the ship you sign the child in and out keep your pager with you I belive its still used on land at cc

as momasita said its hot but there is shade .... its nice to leave them there for a bit but the island is a great family thing too.

There is a navigator for each day that will list what activities are planned at the Kid's clubs and the times. The kid's clubs are moved to CC on that day. We played with the kids the first half of the day and had lunch together. Then we took them to "Scuttle's Cove" (the kid's club on CC) for a few hours in the afternoon. They had really neat activities planned such as a "dig", for fossils, seashells and such, around the bones of Monstrous (sp?) the whale from Pinnochio. They DO NOT do anything in the water for safety reasons but they do play water games with hoses, sprinklers, etc.
My kids liked it and my DH and I enjoyed the alone time.

Yes, There are some excellent activities for the kids on CC. When we were there last year we left our daughter who was 7 and niece who was 6 at scuttles cove for and hour or two so we could go to the adult beach. They loved it! They had a dinosaur dig and water olympics with buckets and hoses. My son who was 11 went to the activity barn with his counselors and had a great time also. :Pinkbounc

The kids do not swim in the clubs, but they had plenty of opportunity with us the rest of the day.

I think I remember the age groups being 5-7 yr, 8-9 yr and 10-12 yr. I have a dd8 and dd11 and they were in separate groups most of the time. My dd8 lived in the Kids Club. She absolutely loved it.

On CC, my dh and I tried going to the adult beach. The minute we stepped off the tram, the beeper went off! Wouldn't you know?! So we maybe spent 5 minutes there. Oh well! We all still had a blast that day! :sunny:

Count me in sister!! Except, me with my hubbie of course :)
My kids are 5 and 7 also!

They have activities all day at Scuttle's Cove. We checked the navigator for the activities there before we scheduled our cabana massage. We had our appointment coincide with a treasure hunt & DS was thrilled to be dropped off there for a little while!! Also most kids love the clubs and are happy to go there, especially if they get to spend time with you later. So go & have a little time to yourselves, CC is so beautiful. We highly recommend the couples cabana massage. Have a great time!!
