Kids annual passes

A couple of questions on a possible ticket upgrade: 1 can a child OR adult ticket be upgraded to a childrens annual passholder ticket? 2 Would the cost for each upgrade be the same (adult or child's ticket to child's annual pass) and what would the cost be? 3 Finally does a children's annual pass entitle the child (traveling with parents) to allow the adults traveling with her to free parking at any of the 4 theme parks or is that only valid on adult annual passes?

If this makes things simple, the child pass is the same price as an adult. With that being said, yes a child pass can be used as a way for free parking.

The price you’ll pay to upgrade will be more for the child’s ticket. AP price minus ticket price is the amount out of pocket to upgrade.

To save money, upgrade 1 Adult ticket.

Ahhh.. didn't know that, I had assumed they were different prices for kids vs adults just as regular tickets are.

I am not sure of your intent based on your questions. If you are looking to just upgrade one ticket to AP so as to get free parking and the other benefits, I would recommend upgrading an Adult ticket so as to more easily get the other perks, merchandise and dining discounts, room discounts, PhotoPass, etc.

There used to be a child ticket price but they ended that about 5 years ago I think.

Yes, you are correct. There used to be separate, cheaper child AP pricing. It seems many families would buy one child AP and use that AP to obtain discounts. WDW put an end to that by making all AP's the same price.
