We are heading to The World in May with DD5 and DS 6. We were planning on making the masks at the kidcot stops around the World Showcase, but are wondering if there are kidcot stops in Future World too? I had read a tip another mom had written about making a lanyard in Future World. Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks!

The kidcot stations are just in the WS. My kids really had fun doing this. I don't know if you are aware but you can get them little passport type books that they can have stamped at each station and the CM running that station will write something in the native language of the country, that was pretty neat. We did this in 2004 and the kids still have it. Its fun to look at it and try to remember what it is supposed to say! Have fun

There are now 2 kidcot stations in Future World : The Land Pavillion (upstairs by the Garden Grille) and The Living Seas (I think there might be a 3rd one coming soon in FW).

There is a Kidcot station in at TT, too. It's in the gift shop area.

Thanks for the replies. We will try to visit these other kidcot stops when we are at Epcot in May.

So, are there three total in Future World??

The Land - upstairs by Garden Grill
Living Seas - (roughly where?)
Test Track - in Gift Shop

Is that all? (in addition to the ones in World Showcase).

What do they do at these stations? Is the intention to add to the mask?

BTW, how much are the Passport kits now? Is there any space for the FW stations?

:thanks:

Yes, there are 3 stations in FW. My DD did them last trip. They give you a sort-of lanyard and the kids color in cut outs that represent the location ie:Living Seas it's a dolphin. Then they attach the cut outs to the lanyard.

I was told that they no longer make masks in WS. We never saw them but I don't know that for sure.

My boys (DS9 & DS7) made them last month, It was a highlight of the trip (When we were staying at the BCV, we'd walk over and do a few at time)...

The lanyards are very cute...and a little easier to transport.

So when you go to EPCOT is some kind of directory of the stops available or do I need to be taking notes?

So the kidcot stops no longer make masks with the sticks, but the cutouts are put on a lanyard instead?

That is a shame as we just did get the Mask and Lanyards type a few weeks ago.

Yes they are shown on the parks map as a K in red box I think . But they are in the general area so you have to search a bit.

No more masks? My daughter LOVED getting her mask stamped at every country; we still have all the dangly attachments from each country. Bummer . . .
