Kidani vs Jambo

Are the studio rooms larger at Kidani or same size as Jambo? What is the square footage for a studio villa at Kidani? Thanks

Studios at both are close to the same size, in the just under 360 sq ft range except for the smaller Value category rooms at Jambo which are only in the 315 sq ft range

What is different between the two is the layout of the bathroom. In Jambo you have an open vanity area with the tub/shower and toilet in a room off to the side. In Kidani the tub/shower and vanity are in the same room and the toilet is in a smaller room within that room.

Does anyone have the villa floorplans for Jambo House villas? The MS website and everywhere else I find a floorplans only have the Kidani floorplans except for the Jambo House GV. It would be nice to see the floorplans for both Jambo House and Kidani.

I have floor plans for all of the rooms in Jambo House. They are from the plans filed with Orange County so they do not include furnishings. One of the books that was mailed to all members does have Jambo House floor plans including furnishings. Someone here scanned and posted them a few years back. They might turn up if you did a search but it was a couple of years ago I think.

As an example, here are some of the floor plans I have. These are for the 6th floor of Jambo House:

These floor plans show where the size difference is in a Value studio in Jambo House (shown on the right below) compared with a non-Value studio on the left.

Just an FYI: In some rooms in Jambo House, the connecting door to the 1BR is in the living area rather than the entryway. In those rooms the living area in the studio is set up a little differently with the bed placed next to the sliding door and the couch next to the bathroom. I assume that is done to provide more room to access the connecting door.

Wow, thanks, Lisa, I should have known you'd have this info. I think the bathroom area is the part I was having problems comparing Jambo and Kidani anyway. It looks like the BWV studio we stayed in last month, except there was only one sink.

Yes, the Jambo studios are similar to those at BWV, VWL, etc except that they don't have that nice big closet next to the vanity. They have a small armoire instead and since it also houses the vacuum cleaner and ironing board there isn't much room for clothes.

do the one bedroom villas in jambo have a jacuzzi tub? For some reason I thought I saw a photo of jambo with a seperate tub and shower setup. Am I wrong?

People report that there is no place to put your empty suitcases or the throw pillows in the Value studios since every inch of wall space is occupied with the large furnishings they use at AKV. The Value studios do not have the little storage bench either so you have less storage space in a Value studio. Since storage space is already tight in all of the AKV studios, the space in that storage bench is really helpful.

Jambo 1BRs and 2BRs have a combined whirlpool tub and shower. Kidani 1BRs and 2BRs have the same whirlpool tub as Jambo House but also have a separate shower stall.

They are located on the 5th floor at the ends of each of the hallway spurs around the horseshoe. There is a room map here that shows the location of all of the GVs in Jambo House. They are marked in dark pink.
