Kidani Village SV?

At Kidani village how many different Savannah's are there??? And what animals are in each..does anyone know??? Is there any one in particular that we should request..... Thanks!

I don't want to steal your post but my question was the same. I also wanted to know if we should be requesting a certain floor or area. We are booked for a two bedroom.

We stayed 2 night at Kidani this past July and LOVED our savanna view. It was soooooooooo nice. We were off the lobby level and had a great view. The lobby level is the first floor that rooms are located on. Underneath is the parking garage. I requested near lobby, lower floor. Those rooms opening up soon on the ends would be a pretty good haul to the lobby/pool area. We were close enough the lobby, community hall and arcade. We loved our short stay there.

During our trip in June, a CM told me that they "rotate" the animals throughout the savannah (so you don't have only giraffe outside your room for the entire week).

I think I heard they are opening the second savannah area at Kidani now that more of the resort is opening. It did have some new animals (not on the existing savannah) like the okapi.

Currently there is only the Sunset savannah but when the new rooms open, they will be on the Pembe savannah. I had the same experience, lobby floor room right by the animals. It was great!

Sunset Savanna is huge and runs all along the east side of Kidani which side has about 85% of all savanna view rooms at Kidani. The other savanna for Kidani, Pembe, is much smaller (just opened) and to the north of the building. The following is a list of animals for Sunset, Arusha, and Uzima savannas (not sure all are in all three, although giraffes and many others are; Arusha is in center of the Jambo building and Uzima to the east of Jambo, the west side of Jambo also faces Sunset):

As to Pembe, Disney's press releases mention the following:

okapi, yellow-backed duiker, Red River hogs, nyala, impala, waterbuck, spur-winged geese and blue crane.


Those announcements also mentioned that the other savannas will not have the okapis and Pembe will not have the giraffes.
