Kidani Village - Shopping and Dining

Just rented DVC points for Kidani Village and in my excitement I realized I forgot to check their shipping and dining options. I see that there is no quick service at Kidani but what about shopping? We always like to get pins and shirts from the resort we are staying at. Does Kidani have anything available?

Kidani Village has a resort store just off the lobby. The store at Jambo House is larger.

The gift shop is rather small, but it features a good variety of resort merchandise, like pins and shirts. It also has the mug refill station and various frozen and fresh foods.

Kidani Village also features an decent arcade. You may want to see what's going on a Community Hall as well.

You can order sandwiches at the pool bar. Room service is also available.

One sit-down meal option is available at Kidani: Sanaa. It's fantastic if you like to try different foods.

If you don't mind walking, Jambo, which has Mara for quick service, and Jiko and Boma, as well as a larger gift shop, is about a 5-10 minute walk from the lobby at Kidani. If you don't want to walk, I believe there is a shuttle. Every bus to the parks stops at Kidani first, then Jambo, so, there is that option. We stay at Kidani all the time, and stop over a Jambo for meals. It is no different or any more inconvenient, in my opinion, than needing to go over to Contemporary from BLT for dining, gift shop. It is also about a 5-10 minute walk from the lobby at BLT to the restaurants/gift shop at Contemporary.

There are special DVC pins, but, you need to have a DVC membership card to get them. There are AKL pins, but, I don't remember if they have special Kidani pins. When Kidani first opened, there were some, but, I am not sure if they are still available.

There is a small store called johari treasures. Very minimal options. Head over to Jambo for more options for shopping and dining. We stayed at Kidani in June. We loved it. In case you aren't aware there is a shuttle that goes back and forth between Kidani and Jambo all day
