Does anyone know if any standard villas at kidani have any kind of partial savannah view, like some at jambo?? Thank you in advance For any help!

Request through MS to be near the Pumba elevator. There are standards in that area overlooking the Pembe savanna as the result of the conversion of some rooms from savanna view. The savanna is narrower in that area, and thus the reason for the conversion to standard, but you actually do see animals.

Rm 7939 is a standard one bedroom that has a very good view of one of the savannas.

The ability to possibly get a savanna view room with standard view at Kidani unfortunately comes with the reality that you will be far from civilization. The Pumba elevator is the last one on the north wing and is between the sixth and seventh building units from the lobby (it is at same place as the red AED sign on the very left side of this map http://www.wdwinfo.com/maps/Kindani_Village_Map.jpg). The bus station will be a little more than 1/3 mile from your room, the lobby a bit less, and the pool, via the under-bulding parking lot to a walkway between the third and fourth building units, will actually be within easy striking distance.

thanks for that ! I would rather be close and walk less.... where should I request for standard and if I decide to book savannah is there a close option for that? Thanks for your assitance, I just got my member number just now and call back tomorrow for my activation code.. so excited!!

I would request to be near the bus stop. Of course there is no guarantee that you will get the location you want.

We had 7841 ( a two bedroom) last month that was listed as savanna view. We hated it . Right next to the pool.

I've been trying to get a last minute studio reservation anywhere for next month. Of course not much is available. Last year we ended up at SSR. But even SSR didn't have all the days we wanted for this year. I checked availability this morning and almost all of July and August were available for Kidani savanna view as well as BWV Boardwalk view. I quickly made reservations at both. I was sure I would get the dreaded message at the end that they couldn't complete my reservation but I had success!!!! So jo-jo, why did you hate your stay?!? Did you overlook the pool instead of the savanna? This will be our first time at AKV. I'm really crazy when it comes to "requesting" a room at a resort I've not been too.

When we stayed back in 2011 in a standard view that overlooked the Pembe Savannah. We saw tons of animals, just not the giraffes and zebras, which I think they bring out only to the back area. The room was pretty far from the lobby, not too far from pool. We were where it curves. I don't you remeber the exact location.

Good luck.
