There is a $500 difference between a standard vs savannah view. Is the savannah view worth $500 in your opinion? This is our first time at AKL so we weren't sure. We have only stayed at SSR. Thanks!

To me, a savannah view might not be worth $500 since there are plenty of animal viewing areas at the resort. Others, I am sure, will think differently.
What matters most is- Is it worth it to you?

Kidani has a lot of rooms facing the street... if you will be ok with that view than you are fine. You MAY get a pool view (do not know if this is a cash option) or a blocked Savannah view but the blocked savannah views are not as plentiful as at Jambo..... Best advice is to request a room near pool for a standard.. it may be a walk but you may get a more appealing view... if a close walk is more important you will more than likely have a street view. As above value is what you place on it and how often you use the view.

We have stayed at Kidani twice and Jambo 1 in the last few years as it turned out we divided are nights equally between savannah view and standard. It is pleasant to sit on your own balcony in the morning and see the animals but we found it was only a small amount of time and was a lot to pay for the amount of time. I would be more likely to take the standard route as there are plenty of locations to view animals around the resort. You could pay for alot of other activities for the 500 dollars.

$500 a night??? Not worth it.

$500 for a week?? Worth it.

Really, the big attraction of AKL for us is the ability to look out our balcony and see the animals.

I agree - for a week it's worth it. The amount of animals we saw over six days was amazing. The views are beautiful and you will take so many pictures. Yes, you will see lots of animals all around the resort and if your budget is tight then don't do it but if you can it's a lovely splurge! We had a wonderful time and Kidani is just awesome. Enjoy!

We stayed there last July and had a savannah view. I enjoyed waking up and having a coffee on the balcony watching the animals. Now that I had that view I would only stay there with the savannah view. For an extra $500 it is well worth the money.
