We're planning an extended family celebration for Feb. 2012 (it is over Presidents weekend). I'm having enough points transferred in to cover a Grand Villa and a 2 bedroom at 11 months, but thought I would probably be able to get 2 studios at the 7 month window. After reading some of the posts on this board, I'm a little worried about that strategy now.
I thought that there were plenty of Savannah View Studios that it wouldn't be an issue, what do you think?

I had no problem getting a Kidani savannah view studio at 7 months for mid June 2009. Right now Feb 2011 is 5 months away, why don't you call to check availability to give you an idea.

So, I called MS and inquired about availibility for Feb. 2011 (presidents weekend) for 4 nights...all were availible except Sunday. However, the person I talked to was very talkative and said that at 7 months out, he didn't believe I would have any problem; just make sure I was calling at the exact 7 month window. I'm going with that advice, as he sounded 'seasoned'!

AKV savanna view at Jambo and Kidani is usually available at 7 months but you do face some risk that it may not be for a high demand time like Presidents Week. Even so that risk would more likely be not being able to get one night rather than all and then taking chances on waitlist for that extra night, which usually comes through.

Yes, I now feel better about the 7 month window for studio savannah view, especially taking into account that waitlists that far out generally come through.:goodvibes
