Kidani room requests help?

We just completed online check in for our trip in 3 weeks, but I'm not sure I made all the right requests. We are staying in a 1br savannah view at Kidani...4 adults. Our time will be spent mostly at Jambo (and if we do go to the pool at Kidani, we don't mind walking). We want to be on the Sunset Savannah, and will have our own cars so not too far to the parking garage. What should I request? I put in Sunset Savannah, near elevator. Would those be my best bets? Don't want to have a 3 mile hike to Jambo if possible.

You can request a room in the wing closest to Jambo House. We've requested that on the savannah before. But I'm not sure of that's Sunset or not. Either way, we had a very nice view.

They have a shuttle van that runs between Kidani and Jambo House. And all of the park buses go from Kidani to Jambo House before going to the parks (and the DTD bus goes from Jambo House to Kidani).

I think if you ask for the wing that is closest to the bus stop along with your other requests you will have it covered.

None of that was an option to request on the online check in form (we're staying on a relatives points...though we are owners ourselves, we just bought and aren't using our points until next year). The only requests available were "high floor, low floor, near lobby, near elevator, sunset savannah, pembe savannah" and I had to choose 2 options. I THINK his uncle put a request in when he made the reservation for us to be close to Jambo.

Be aware that requesting "near elevator" is not one you want to make to be close to Jambo. There are three sets of elevators along each of the two wings (north wing which is furthest from Jambo lobby/doorways and south wing which approaches the front of Jambo.

If you want to have the shortest walking distance to Jambo (still more than a quarter mile), you should request "near the Zazu elevator" (which is the last elevator on south wing), a request that should be made directly through MS and not one mentioned in online check-in. If you want to be near buses,or shuttle at Kidani front entrance, for going to Jambo, you should request either "close to community hal" or "close to the Timon elevator," again done through MS. Note that all three of the requests I just mentioned automatically give you Sunset Savanna view if you get the request and have reserved savanna view room.
