Does anyone know where they are at on the refurb? Have a trip coming up and just wondering what area is closed off and what area is next.

Thanks so much if anyone knows!

Its just an update of the decor I believe. We just return from our stay a 1 bedroom villa. I believe it was updated but we've never stayed at Kidani before so I'm not sure... But Level 2 was completely closed to guest.

This week they were working on 3rd floor. 2nd floor is finished and I think most of 3rd is finished.

We just got back today. We were in a 2 bedroom near Pumbaa elevator and it wasn't refurbished yet. We have been there since last Thursday and our elevator would not go the the 2nd floor due to construction the whole time we were there. I heard hammering and a drill a few times, but nothing too disruptive.

From your pictures the paint, carpet, pillows, drapes, chair and possibly couch are new and the tv is WAY bigger. Kitchen looks the same.

Oh OK... We were near the rafiki elevators and didn't hear any construction at all. Hopefully they finish up soon. We really enjoyed our stay and my hubby loved the TV, it was easily a 65"/70" big.

Yes that's a refurbished room we were really happy with ours. I loved that TV and I really don't usually care about that sort of thing. We were there for 10 nights so we watched Christmas movies a few of those. Currently there are not DVD players in the rooms but they brought one to us when we called.

We were level 2 but near Timon elevator.

We were there in Nov/Dec (2016). The rooms look much nicer, IMO. Some of the colors are more subdued and most of the "bright" stuff was gone. (at least in our room). The carpets looked like crap, so I guess there was no replacement there. But, most of the Lion King touches were gone and replaced with more generic earth-tone items (curtains, bed spreads, throw pillows, wall hangings).

Horrible part.....we heard non-stop noise all night long while we slept. Some of it was deliveries and the rest sounded like construction. We never really had a decent night's sleep. I was so so disappointed. Between not getting any sleep and the cigarette smoking in the parks where it was not allowed, I came home sick with strep and a respiratory infection. It happens every time my immune system gets worn down from lack of sleep and the respiratory infection happens every time from cigarette smoke as I am highly allergic.

At least we survived. :)

They added different lighting with lighter colored shades. It did seem brighter.

We Just left Kidani, I admit I didn't think I would like the new paint, but it was nice and bright. I would say it was noticeably brighter in the bedrooms when the curtains were closed. There was a notice in our rooms that the refurbishment was still going on but I didn't see any sign of it other then an area near Jambo house with a few containers for supplies. Over all I really liked the refurb. I will say one day housekeeping came by with soap dishes. Apparently they were back ordered and weren't sure which rooms got missed.
