I read recently that some of the savanna view rooms were reclassified to standard view due to poor views.
Does anyone know where these rooms are and how to request them.
I just do not have enough points for the savanna view  Thanks for your help:)

The majority of the rooms or maybe even all of them are located close to the pool where the fence separates the pool area from the savannah.

I had one of those rooms when Kidani first opened and I thought it was a real waste of points. All I saw was the CM's at the pool who are there to give talks about the animals, and I felt bad for them because I never saw anyone talking to them! The next time we went I took my girls over to him and they had a blast and got quite an education!!

On my recent stay at Kidani I asked about the location of the reclassified rooms and in particular the location of the reclassified Grand Villas. I was told that most of the regular rooms that were reclassified and the two reclassified GVs are in the area where the Pembe Savanna is only about 50 feet deep.

Here are three photos showing the location and view from that part of Kidani Village. The first photo is an aerial view of both buildings (so you can get your bearings) with the area circled in red. The second photo shows a close up of that area, viewed from the opposite direction so you can see the balcony of the villas and can see how narrow the savanna is at that point. The two GVs are two stories high, located on the 4th and 5th floor and have a distinctive roof. They are on either side of a hallway viewing window. The third photo was taken from that window on the 5th floor, showing what that part of the view would look like from those GVs.

When I saw the question I knew that LisaS would have the answer. If she hadn't already responded I would have recommended that you email her as she is our resident AKL/V expert.

OMG!!! We had one of those rooms!!! I called the front desk and asked if this was really a savanna room, because you really had to look for the animals! They treated me like I was crazy!!! You could see the animals running by when the called (whistled) for them at feeding times! It was a haul, and not really worth the extra points for the view you got! I also called MS and complained about the room being a SV!
