Hi All,

For our upcoming trip, we are staying at Kidani for 2 nights before a week at our beloved Lodge. We have a couple questions as we've never stayed here before!
- How's the pool? We heard it's nice!
- How are the buses? We plan on arriving between 1-3pm (checking in, hopefully) and heading right to the MK for the last night of summer nightastic.
-Is the bus stop far from the rooms?
-Where is the check-in for Kidani?
-How's the parking? Is it close or a hike?
-What's the best counter service?
-How far of a walk is it to Jambo?

As always, thanks for all the tips!!!

Pool is very nice, long slide, good kids water play area. Busses are usually fine (to parks it is Kidani to Jambo to park). You check in at Kidani lobby inside front door. Parking is ideal, ground floor under building throughout, two elevators along each wing and thus can always park fairly close to room. No counter service at Kidani. You would have to walk or take bus or inter-building cart to Jambo for counter-service at Mara's.

Now distances: advice: request room close to lobby so you are close to pool, restaurant, store, bus stop, etc. Why? Because you can otherwise get a room that is more than 1/4 mile from the lobby. The two wings, north and south are very long, south about 1/4 mile, north longer. Front door of Kidani to front door of Jambo is about 1/2 mile and thus if you are at end of north wing at Kidani it is over 3/4 mile.

Buses from Kidani Village will stop at Jambo House and then direct to their destination.

For AKV, you check-in at the building you are staying at.

Kidani Village has under building parking and traditional parking lots.

I love the pool at Kidani. You can use both pools, but I think the slide at Kidani, the water play area, and the pool games in the afternoon really surpass Uzima

The covered bus stops are just off the Kidani lobby. Kidani is the first pickup with the single exception of the DTD bus. After you get on the park bus, you will stop at Jambo House. The longest ride is to MK, about 15 minutes. We thought the buses ran well. -Where is the check-in for Kidani?
In the Kidani lobby.
-How's the parking? Is it close or a hike?
It is underground -- technically the first floor of the resort. Rooms begin on the second floor.
-What's the best counter service? There is no CS at Kidani. I think the best CS is in the Land at Epcot ;)
-How far of a walk is it to Jambo? If you are at the end nearest Jambo, it's probably 5 minutes. Lobby to lobby is more like 10-15 minutes.
As always, thanks for all the tips!!!

I hope this helps. I'm also sure others will chime in.

The longest and least predictable bus ride is the one to MK. Sometimes you are there in 15 minutes and others 20 - 25. It's all dependent on the traffic going into the Magic Kingdom. And since your home resort is VWL you would know about traffic woes into that area. (Our other home resort is BLT so we too are quite familiar with it.)
