Ok....we're going to AKV Kidani in December for our first trip there.

I couldn't get a Savanah View Studio so it looks like I'm stuck with a studio.

I would love to take photography of the animals, can you take pictures from the grounds of the resort at all, or do you have to be higher up in one of the room balconies?

I'm thinking of heading over to www.borrowlenses.com so I can have a better zoom lens for the trip (BTW, if you are a photographer they are AWESOME, rates are reasonable and they just fed ex the equipment to you), but if I don't have any good opportunities to take some pictures from the hotel I'm not sure I'll do it this trip. Not sure I want to lug around a 300mm telephoto lens and a tripod / monopod around Animal Kingdom.

Just back from Kidani - don't worry, there a a number of public viewing "balcony" areas on the second floor (Lobby Floor) to shoot pictures from. Actually, the best shots will be from level 2, not high up (too many trees obstruct views at some places)

My DH loves to take pictures, and we are just back from a 5th floor savannah view villa at Kidani. He tried taking pictures from our balcony, but we were up so high, that all we could really see were trees, and hardly any animals ever wandered by. He ended up walking over to the lobby early every morning and taking his pictures there. We finally realized that most of the animals (giraffes and zebras) stayed pretty close to the lobby - I think they must feed them better there. We loved the savannah view for sitting and looking at the animals (if any ran by), but not so much for picture taking.
