Kidani or Jambo?

I can't decide between a 1 bd villa @ Kidani or Jambo?
Jambo is $100 less. Which would you pick? Which pool is better?

The Kidani pool is tons more fun. It is zero entry too, with a nice big slide and a smaller slide in the main pool. There is also a kids water play area, pretty good size. We stayed in June, we did go to AKL many times to eat. We didnt care for the TS dining at Kidani, and they dont have CS. I will say the location of the AKl Pool is better, than Kidani. Kidani, is off to the side of the resort, and AKL is right at the food area.

Just got back from Kidani. The pool is awesome, esp. for kids. It's easy to get to Jambo by hopping on a resort bus. The rooms were beautiful. Our only issue was the elevator broke down while we were on it and we were trapped for an hour, not fun. We never ate at the restaurant in Kidani, we'd go over to Jambo for Boma or the Mara. The whole place is beautiful so whatever you pick, I think you'll be happy.

Just got back from Kidani. It is fabulous! Liked the feel much better than Jambo. It is much more quaint and quieter. The pool is way better at Kidani. The slide is lots of fun, and the pool bar is great. We went to the pool every night after the parks.

I would request a room near the lobby and/or pool. The pool is a very short walk from the lobby.

For me, Boma is always good, but I know a lot of people on the boards don't like it. I've always liked the food there, plus they have these great chocolate martini's

We had a standard view, which meant we got to see the parking lot, but it wasn't bad, there were a ton of other places to view the animals. We were lucky to be close to the lobby so the walk to the pool was quick.

We haven't stayed there yet but from what we've read the Kidani pool is open to anyone staying at ALK. Including guests staying in the Jambo House. (they are considered 1 resort)
So even if want to save money, I would say Jambo, that way you can still visit Kidani pool but yet not be far from the resturants and the rest of the resort.

Also the rooms are a tad different as well. Kidani's 1 bd room villa is larger then the Jambo and the 1 bd in Kidani has 2 full baths while jambo has 1. Just something else to think about as well.

We prefer Jambo over Kidani (have stayed at both). If you have more people in your party, the 2 bathrooms in the 1-br villa would be nice. So Kidani for that. But since we are usually just 2 people, we are fine with 1 bathroom. I just feel that there is more going on at Jambo and love the food options there. Either way, you will have a great stay!
