Kidani or Jambo for Christmas 2019

My family and I are planning a December trip in 2019 and we are planning on staying at Kidani (our favorite resort) but was wondering are the decorations that much better that it would be worth staying at Jambo instead of Kidani?

Is there another DVC resort that would be worth looking into? This is our first time going down to our home away from home that time of year, so any insight or advice is more than welcome

We’ve never stayed at AKL at Xmas, but we have stayed at Kidani. We ended up spending time in Jambi lobby anyway, for dining, activities, etc, so I still felt like we saw the lobby (where the decorations will be) plenty. It’s a beautiful resort, and I LOVE the lobby with all the fires and grilled meat smells....mmmmm!!!! My DH, who is a Disney grump, even likes it there.

Our favorite resort at Xmas is still WL, and the DVC side is very cozy too. The setup reminds me a lot of AKL/AKV. (We don’t own DVC, but we’ve rented.) It has that cozy, warm, homey Xmas feel that we want; we just love it. AK and WL are my two faves for the holidays, so I think either is a great choice.

Does Kidani even have a lobby area on a scale with Jambo? On the other hand, how much time are you going to spend looking at the decorations?

Are you booking at 11 or 7 months? At 7, Jambo is typically unavailable for December, while Kidani has greater availability.
