Kidani or Jambo for a studio?

We are trying to rent points to stay at a Savannah View studio at AKL. Is Kidani preferrable over Jambo? Or is there a difference reallY? Which have you chosen in the past and why?

I havent stayed at Jambo, but this is what I like about Kidani:

* spacious room (stayed in studio)
* peaceful
* pool area is great - it is not so big that you cant supervise while comfortably melting into a lounger ( I was shocked at how big/loud/packed the jambo pool area was), plus there is a fun waterplay area and nice pool bar (mug refill station, food/snacks, drinks, dining area, etc), nice bathrooms
* the little gift shop is sufficient for us for drinks/snacks...if having food in your resort is a big deal, pick Jambo
* the best perk was being picked up/dropped off first for buses!

I've stayed in a studio at both. The rooms are about the same size. Both are 1 queen bed/1 double sleeper sofa.

Some things to consider:

Bathroom setup: Jambo has the sink outside the bathroom, Kidani it is inside so no privacy for someone in the shower while someone is at the sink.

Quick Service: Jambo has Mara, Kidani has minimal goods at the store.

Parking: If you have a car, Kidani has more convenient parking, just take an elevator down to level 1.

DH and myself just got back 2 weeks ago from staying in a studio @ Jambo and it was really nice. We have never stayed @ this resort, always stayed in moderate hotels and to have the extra space was nice. We had a savannah view and every morning there were different animals outside our room ( we were on the 5th floor). The room was spacious with a little kitchenette( fridge, toaster, microwave, sink). The bathroom was spacious with the double sink vanity outside the room, the bed was comfortable, and there was a pull out sofa bed couch. Nice little balcony with table and chairs.
The food area Mara was a good place to grab a counter service meal or snacks. The pool area was nice. they had a water slide and two seperate hot tub areas.

like Jambo House better for a studio. It has more restaurants and the only quick service.

It has a much bigger and nicer gift shop.

although the gym was better at Kidani

I've stayed at both Jambo & Kidani...but never in a studio there - can someone tell me the difference between the value studio & the deluxe studio at Jambo?

I've stayed in a studio at both resorts. I prefer Jambo. I will never stay at Kidani again. Jambo is much grander. Love the different food options there (Mara, Bomas, and Jiko). Bus service would be its only negative.
