I believe that it's 9/1/2009 and should include those rooms on the Pembe Savanna.

Oh LOL:rotfl2: Thats our next planned trip. It sounded like that silly promotion Disney is trying to get us to sign up for doesn't it. :rotfl: We'll be staying at Kidani.

We'll be there too...September 16th - 25th, at Kidani. I can't WAIT!

Friday is my 7 month window to call and try to get a 2 bedroom savannah view at Kidani......please send pixie dust!!!:tinker: We already have BWV booked for a week but want to stay for the first couple of nights at Kidani....I am hoping/thinking that with all the rooms open by then we have a good shot at this....any thoughts....

Pixie Dust for you!!!! We spend August in No. Truro. You anywhere near?

wait, let me get this right....kidani is opening in 2 stages??..I wasnt told this when I booked with MS..i'm there end of august does that mean there will be construction still going on?..what about the pools will they be open?

I don't know exactly where the construction is but it is not completely scheduled to be done until sept..

We're there the 17th to the 22nd.:cool1:

From what I read, the pool, restaurant, etc. are supposed to open in May.:)

Aren't you so excited!!!! I can't wait!

Yup, sure am.

We're going down to celebrate a BUNCH of stuff...3 birthdays (My mother's, my son's, and my youngest daughter's) and our 10 Wedding anniversary. It's going to be an event filled trip, that's for sure!

This will be my mother and step-father's FIRST EVER trip to WDW, which will also be kind of neat.

My wife and I are both, already, REALLY excited (as is everyone else, going!).

jblrn2b....I live in Dennis just before where rte 6 goes down to 2 lanes. DVC and a month in Truro in the summer....heaven!!!

Sounds like a lot of fun for everyone!!! - and lots of magical moments!

Thanks for all of your replies. I decided to go with Kidani. This is a trip with just myself and my two cousins. It's a short trip (3 nights). AKV was the ONLY place the three of us were interested in - although most of my points, and my fav place is BWV. We added on recently at AKV and I'm in love with how gorgeous it is and the animals! My cousin, Laurie only stays at AKL when she goes to Disney (very rarely), my other cousin is game for anything, so we chose AKV.

At first I was thinking I'd need to be in Jambo with the proximity to Boma and Jiko, but we also need a lunch place, as we will spend most of our time here anyway. The savannah view is extremely important, but it was the larger room and second bathroom that won out!

Thanks again for your help.

Another question though.....can we, as "occupants" of this resort take any of the savannah tours offered? TIA

Here's some Pixie Dust, good luck! pixiedust:

I just called on 3/11 which was the 7 month window for me as well to try and get a dedicated 2BR Savanna View in Kidani, but unfortunately all but 2 of the nights I needed weren't available. So for now, I have a ressie for a 2BR Lockoff with Savanna View in Jambo House and I'm on the waitlist for Kidani.

I have a 2bdr SV kidani booked for 9/26 - 10/2, will all of the construction be done by then? If not I might consider somewhere else instead.

Slightly off topic...the way DVC books the dedicated 2BR's surprises me. We didn't ask for it...they just gave it to us. We don't care one way or the other, but a lock off would have completely worked for us, so we didn't request one way or the other. But, lo and behold, on the ressie confirmation it says we got a dedicated 2BR.

Since the dedicated 2BR's seem to be more of a "request" type of thing..meaning, if you want one, you would normally request it...I wonder why/if DVC is booking them when NO request is made for them if there is lock off availablity. Anyone know? Is that SOP?
