Kidani. Online check in Q

Did online check In for kidani
We have standard room booked
But as a room request it had pembe savanna as an option.

What's up with that? Is it a standard option for kidani? Because if I booked standard why is it asking savanna choice?

You should make room requests through MS because ones in that on-line check-in are there for cash paying guests through Disney. Nevertheless there are a small number of savanna view rooms on the Pembe savanna side of the building near the very end of the north wing which were converted to standard last year because they are in an area where the savanna is narrow and the animals seldom come. There are also some standards that are on the cusp between the pool area and Pembe from which you can view Pembe savanna looking out to the right (north) from your balcony. To possibly get one of those, request to be near the Rafiki elevator.

Would those rooms be near a higher traffic area since its near the pool and elevator?

There is no traffic up in that area except for cars going to parking mainly under the building.

Actually, my Pembe standard view was one of the loudest rooms I've had while staying DVC. There are quite a few additional rooms past that location and the kids all seemed to be going full bore past it laughing, screaming and running in the morning on the way to the lobby.
