Kidani and Fast Pass+ Beta Testing?

We will be back in the world next month staying at Kidani Village for a week. I have been hearing and reading a lot about the fast pass plus / magic band beta testing they had been doing in August.

I am hoping we get selected to take part in the test and was wondering if anyone staying at either Of the Animal Kingdom lodges had been selected.

According to WDWMagic.com, AKV - Kidani Village is not participating at this time, but AKL - Jambo House is participating. Here is the full article:

Wondering about this also. We are staying at Kidani on rented points from end of Oct through first few days in Nov. I have added all my reservation info, and my individual tickets ( linked to people in my family ) to MDE.

I see all the options for managing the bands, FastPass+ etc, I just cant do anything when I'm in there. Hoping this opens up soon. I hope that we are in the next phase given our proximity to Jambo house which is in testing.

We check-in to AKV Jambo House on 10/3 and our reservation is MyMagic+ eligible. Testing at AKL prior to Oct did not include DVC Villas.

Is it just non-DVC that is doing the test? Since Jambo house has all the non-DVC and all the other resorts that I know of with FP+ are non-DVC I was guessing that DVC members (or those on points) weren't eligible.

Beginning with the Oct tests, the DVC Villas in Jambo House are eligible for MyMagic+ testing. The Beach Club Resort and Beach Club Villas are also included in the Oct testing.

We are doing a split stay, 3 nights POR-Riverside arriving 9/12/2013. We updated our MDE with our Riverside reservation and our Kidani DVC 2 night reservation. I uploaded two old tickets with days left, and was able to get FP+ for all our days including our days at Kidani. We also received our magic bands this week. Don't know if the bands will work at Kidani but they will work at POR-R and fastpass+. We check out on 9/17/2013.

We are staying in AKL Jambo house two bedroom on our DVC points in mid-Sept and already have our customized magic bands. A couple days ago I spoke with an IT cast member who is on the team and she said that eligibilty also depends on other factors but confirmed that DVC at Jambo in Sept are potentially eligible to participate.

I would be very surprised if we did not receive an invitation in the next couple days.

AKV Kidani Village is not included with the Oct test group and it's unlikely that it will be added at this point in time. There is no word yet on what resorts (if any) will be added to testing for Nov check-in dates.

We are doing a split stay only because I could not get my first day locked in with the rest of the stay... Our luck as the first and only night is in Jambo dvc and I have already been notified that we get the bands. The rest of the stay is at SSR. They have told us that the bands will be good for our entire stay,,cross the fingers. We are staying Oct 27-31, waiting for our tickets from UT to link and get our FP+ times for all days. Let you know how it goes.

We are at Kidani in Oct on DVC points, and just customized our bands this morning.

I am wondering if I will be able to upgrade to MB's once I get there, during my mid stay. I am checking in 9/28 but will be at Kidani until 10/5. Any idea if I will be able to request MB's once I am there starting 10/1?

My parents are staying at Kidani from October 12-17 and just got an email that they were selected to try the MagicBands. They are very excited. And I am slightly jealous ;-)

I was contacted last week and am now participating for 10/3 to 10/6. I am at Kidani, too. I am happy to test now vs. my Christmas trip. I am happy to iron out kinks.

I just left Kidani today. We did a split stay with POR-Riverside and did the testing of the magic bands at Riverside. When we checked into Kidani the guard could read my magic band to id my check-in dates at Kidani but the front desk was not using the bands. I was able to do FP+ for my entire split stay which was fun.
I also had no problem exchanging old paper tickets for new chip tickets at the ticket counter at Typhoon Lagoon. I had hoppers on my magic bands, and paper tickets with chip for my base tickets. We used either one or the other depending on what we did each day. Most of our activities was centered around the Villains Event and the Pin Trading Events. Had a great time.
Kidani was wonderful. Our standard 1 BR faced the front of the resort in between the front entrance and around the corner from the bus stops. Not a good view but close to Pumba and Timon elevators to the garage.
