Hi - letting you all know I was just able to add 4 nights at kidani (studio standard view) for 2 weeks out - I could have also added a 5th night. SSR was also available for those nights. I've stayed at jambo before but never kidani. This is the 3rd time I've had luck short notice for Animal Kingdom. I just asked what studios they had for my nights (so i was flexible for resort, view). Love the dvc!!

Awesome!!! This is great to know since we're in the process of purchasing a 50 point resale as a wedding gift for our son and his new wife and I know they would love to book a short notice/short stay possibly for early January when he's on semester break from law school......but, they need to wait for closing to do so and that probably won't happen for probably eight weeks yet.....so hopefully end of Sept. they are able to get something for early January........

That is great news. I love AKV, but DH says we can't afford more points at this time. And I was pleasantly surprised to be able to add a night to my vale studio stay at 5 months out.

We were just at SSR the week after the 4th of July, and were surprised to see both Carousel buildings empty. I'm sure they were available for booking but were just not being used because they are so far out. We have noticed this many times on previous visits. I'll bet those rooms are in great shape, since they seem to fill up only at the busiest of times.

We were able to book Labor Day weekend at Kidani in mid June. There was lots of availability when I called.

Actually, we stayed at the Carousel building closest to the bus stop last January for a few days and our room was in pristine condition. The location really isn't bad, especially if you are a family who doesn't spend a lot of time walking within the resort..... I believe those buildings are definitely closer to the lobby, laundry, main pool, food court than the Congress Park bldgs are. We stayed at Congress Park on one visit and I didn't particularly care for that location.
