kid friendly hotel in las vegas

My husband and I visited last October with our 5 year old grandson and stayed at the Hampton Inn. We loved it. It was about 2-3 blocks from the strip, had a complimentary shuttle to the strip, free breakfast buffet, free parking They had a nice pool for the family and the staff was excellent.

I think I should recommend you this Four Seasons Las Vegas . Why I choose this hotel in Las Vegas? Well, this hotel offer an assortment of amenities for children and teenagers. It also offer special rates and meals for kids, put together fun activities for the whole family, provide special rooms and accommodations which cater to families, or even have a special concierge on staff just for parents traveling with their children.

Just as a reference point, the FAO store at Forum Shoppes has closed. Was very sad to see it all closed off.

When going to Bellagio to see the fountains, make sure you visit the Conseratory inside & stop back behind that to see the world's largest chocolate fountain.

I believe Ethel M Chocolates still gives factory tours & free samples, but not sure if there is a minimum age requirement or not.

Hard Rock has a new restaurant on the strip between MGM & Planet Hollywood. Depending on age, having a meal there & viewing the memorabilia they always have on display at HR's would be entertaining.

The light show overhead at Fremont Street only lasts a few minutes & only runs on the hour so don't know if it would be worth going down for. However you could pop into Mermaids & buy them deep fried twinkies for a treat or deep fried oreos & sit out on the street & coat yourself in powdered sugar, lol. They often have other live entertainment (music, stage shows etc) outside also - probably more on weekends than on weeknights.

There is a balloon lift ride same as they have at DTD on south end of strip now, but it is higher $ than Disney's is.

I have seen kids in every hotel in Vegas - not every one caters to children but they sure all accomodate them. You just have to keep them away from the gaming floor unless you are moving straight thru to your destination.

We flew into and out of Vegas last Spring Break with the kids for a trip to the Grand Canyon. Stayed at Luxor 1 night before going to the Grand Canyon. It was not super nice. After the Grand Canyon we stayed 2 nights at Paris and we liked that much better. It was a good location for walking and seeing the sites with the kids. My kids enjoyed Vegas. We did the rides at NY NY and the Stratosphere. We also went to the Mac King afternoon show at Harrahs - very family friendly and really good.

I would recommend the Monte Carlo. They have a great pool area;small wave pool, lazy river, and regular pool. You can also go into the hotel and get to the elevators without going through the casino. They have a food court with Subway and McDonalds and Sbarro.Their Lance Burton magic show is family friendly.

The year before this trip we took DD, then 6 to New Orleans for a conference. I have to tell you, the slogan really should be "what happens in New Orleans, stays in New Orleans." It was far more inappropriate in a much less controlled setting than Vegas.

ITA !!! :rolleyes1
