I would like to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour my next trip to WDW in March. What can you tell me about the tour. I know it can last 5 hours, that is fine, will be there with my husband, and 21 yr old daughter. Is it worth it, are you glad you did the tour. Thanks for your replies in advance. :dance3:

We did the tour in 2004, just after Thanksgiving. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and, if we had the extra time on our upcoming trip, would do it again. We already have the Backstage Magic booked, and want to enjoy lots of other things that are going on, as well, so we want to do new things. I don't know if Shannon is still a tour guide, but she was wonderful. I've also heard that Rae is very good, as well.

We did the tour during our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2 We already knew a lot of Disney trivia, but we learned so much more on that tour. We love to tell our friends and family about the different things to look for when they go now! I would highly recommend it.

We loved the tour! It was very informative. We rode Pirates and the HM with our tour guide and he gave us history of the ride. The coolest part was of course, the utilidors! The pin you get is wonderful too! I'd definitely do it again! :)

Did The Tour In May 2006, Loved It. Yes It Is Quite Long, But You Learn And See So Much That You Can't On Your Own! Fun Time, Lunch Included!

We did the tour in August. It was one of our favorite experiences ever at WDW! The Backstage areas were fascinating, and we learned an amazing amount of information! Our tourguide was fabulous as well. Enjoy the tour! :thumbsup2

mY HUBBY AND i DID THIS TOUR ALMOST 9 YEARS AGO..HERES my pERSPECTIVE..aLTHOUGH I THOUGHT IT WAS *neat* I personally wont do it again, as it Wrecked Some of the "MAGIC" for me
( Try seeing CINDERELLA with a Cigarette ...NOPE we wont do it again)
BUT to each his own.....

So far the best tour we took.

I have taken 10 of the tours, including Keys. All have been great, well worth the the time and money. Make sure to ask for any discounts appropriate for you, AP, DVC, AAA, Disney Visa.

We did KTTK for my 40th birthday. It was wonderful. I knew alot of Disney trivia also, but still learned alot of new things. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I would do it again. It was that good. But, I have other tours to do first. Gotta catch up with my friend Dan!

We did the tour in '04. It was alright. I really didn't learn anything new. I get a lot of info here, or the specials on the travel channel. I am glad I did it, but I will not be doing it again. If I didn't do it, I would always be wondering what it was like. If you have a free day go for it.

What is the Backstage Magic? Which park? Is it only for adults as well? I'm sorry, but I can't find this one in the Tours listing on the Disney website. Thanks for any help!

On their website, just type in the search box "backstage magic". The first link they give you will be the right one. It's a 7 hour tour of Epcot, MGM, and MK, including lunch at Mama Melrose's. Yep, it's only for adults (over 16) - $199 per person. You start at Epcot and they bus you around to the different parks. I'll know more on December 28 after I do the tour.

We did this in sept. It was really enjoyable. Our Guide tried to involve everyone in the discussions and gave us stickers for the right answers(my DH gave them out to kids after).I learned alot. Oh, and it includes your lunch which was good. Do ask about the discounts too.

Keys to the Kingdom was great. I went with my DGF and we had a great time. My DM and DS went in Aug and thought it was great as well. My only complaint would be the Utilidor. I don't really feel it added much to the tour, especially considering we spent 1hr + down there. I think it's definatley worth trying atleast once. We had a great tour guide and I feel that could make a break the tour. Best of luck!

Thanks - this can also go on the list of things DH & I plan to do someday when our kids are either old enough or out of the house! Although they're older now (will be 12, 14, and 15 on the trip), still too young to do the tours, and not quite comfortable with leaving them alone either in the parks or at the rental house for that period of time. I really think they just need a "Utilidors" tour for like $25 since that's the main thing DH is dying to see!

We did this tour on Monday Sept 25 with Claire and had a WONDERFUL time!! It was soo neat to see everything and understand how disney is able to keep the magic. you will learn things that will blow your mind. Yes it can "ruin the magic" in some ways, but for me it just made it even more special to see the effort they put into the park to make it magical. Not to mention we met Scoop Sanderson while on the tour and he was just a roit!
