CorrectBut those types of discounts would always be available. It wouldn't be necessary to wait until there is some sort of 'special' offer.
It really does not spoil anything. We have done it several times. They really do not tell or show you anything that leaves you feeling deflated. The only thing we saw, which is why kids are not allowed, is costumed characters walking around backstage only partially "dressed" for on-stage.Thank you!! I've avoided going for years as I didn't want to feel like I was spoiling the magic, but I feel ready now. I loved your report!!!
Not sure what time it opens. I was less than 60 days out from my trip when I decided to book it, so I'm not sure there's an initial midnight or 7 a.m. rush to book it - especially since it's one of the pricier tours. (Now, Up Close with Rhinos is one that continues to elude me because it does fill up fast!)Verifying that KTTK is bookable at 7am and not mightnight. I've read both when searching foe the time. I'll be on vacation when my 60 days opens so I want to make sure I'm looking at the correct time.

I've never had something default to my Disney Visa, but I do know that in order to use that discount, you have to pay with the card. But you would think there would have been some option for you to change it.I booked a few weeks ago at my 60 day mark. I had a DGC I intended to use as payment. I logged in and went to the correct page to book and a Disney Visa discount was automatically applied. But they were charging my Visa card and I could not see anyway to use a DGC. I was afraid of losing our slots (I had been monitoring and saw the tours had been selling out very fast) so I went ahead and left it on the Visa.
I am curious if anyone else has had this issue. I am also DVC and AP so I am not sure why the discount defaulted to Disney Visa cardholder.
Not exactly sure about 7am vs midnight but when my window opened to book an AKL tour, it was open at midnight and the other “magical extras” (R&C fireworks) was at the normal ADR booking time.Verifying that KTTK is bookable at 7am and not mightnight. If you have a disney visa for payment you will get a discount.Does Disney ever offer discounts on these special 'behind the scenes' tours? Seems there is enough demand they probably wouldn't need to do that. Above remarks sound like you can't book beyond 60 days so it isn't something to search months in advance of your planned vacation.
I did it once and well we wer behind Splash Mountain they were rehaersing for the halloween parade and the charters only had thir heads onis costumed characters walking around backstage only partially "dressed" for on-stage.
We saw a guy portraying Jesse walking around with his head in his arms. Most of us giggled!I did it once and well we wer behind Splash Mountain they were rehaersing for the halloween parade and the charters only had thir heads on
Our tour guide actually got a bit flustered about it and we ended up walking further backstage then we were supposed to.We saw a guy portraying Jesse walking around with his head in his arms. Most of us giggled!
Hmm, that is kind of odd, considering they "warn" guests ahead of time and have a hard and fast rule about the age minimum for that reason. Our tour guide actually got a bit flustered about it and we ended up walking further backstage then we were supposed to.
I think it was mainly to get away from the rehearsal so we could hear what they were talking about when we were back there.Hmm, that is kind of odd, considering they "warn" guests ahead of time and have a hard and fast rule about the age minimum for that reason.
