We are visiting during Spring Break 2016 (March 25-31). We wanted to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour in the Magic Kingdom, but it is not available during the week of our trip. Instead, we booked the UnDISCOVERed Future World tour in EPCOT.

Two questions:

1. Is there a reason that the Keys tour is not available during the week of 3/25? Do you think it might become available as we get closer to our travel date?

2. One of the behind-the-scenes experiences on the UnDISCOVERed tour was a visit to Soarin. That attraction will be closed during the first half of 2016. Any thoughts on where the tour will go in lieu of visiting Soarin?

Thanks!

I would keep checking on the KTTW tour. Many folks here have been able to get spots closer to the actual dates as others plans change.

Now as far as Undiscovered Future World, unless things have changed drastically, I would look at any other tour before doing that tour. It is the only Disney tour we have ever taken (at least 12 at WDW and 5 at DL) that I wish I could have gotten my money back.

Thanks for the feedback, Matheke. Anything in particular you didn't like about the UnDISCOVERed tour? Any other tours in Epcot or MK that you would highly recommend?

Thanks,

Michael

I have to disagree. My wife and I love the UnDISCOVERed tour. Seeing all the buildings that are not longer used was awesome (though somewhat depressing). In addition to Soarin', we were able to do Test Track and Spaceship Earth. The costume room was very interesting too. I would highly recommend it.

My wife and I just did KTTK last week and we LOVED it! The only reason that I can think of why it is not listed is because of spring break?

I am glad this question was asked because I am thinking about going on the keys to the kingdom tour as well. DH and I are planning an adult only trip in June... He wants to play golf one day and suggested I go on the tour (he has no interest.) I was wondering if any part of the tour is indoors/air conditioned?? Since it's 5 hours long and June, I'm concerned about the heat!

It is mostly outside but you do get to sit down backstage in the "cool off" area for cast members and go "underground" to see the utilidor. Also, lunch is served at the Harbor House and we rode on the haunted mansion and jungle cruise. So....out of the 5 hr we were probably inside a total of 2hr.

I believe lunch is always at the Harbour House and the selections are from their menu. Out lunch was good, no complaints

I've taken both tours, multiple times. Both were excellent and well worth the time and money spent. Not sure why Keys would not be available then. Do you know if it is available Christmas week? If not, it could be the significant crowd situation.

In any case, don't forget the discounts...AP, DVC and Disney Visa, all 15%.
