I'm considering doing a KTTK tour during my solo vacation in November. I understand this is a walking tour, but are you on your feet the ENTIRE time? Are there rest breaks, benches, etc., or are you standing in one spot, listening to the guide, for most of the tour? I have lower back issues sometimes and standing in one spot, on concrete, can be challenging. TIA!

The entire tour is on your feet other than rides/lunch break. You’ll walk, then stand for a bit while the guide gives you the history then off to the next stop.

Would a rollator help? Helps to take pressure off your back. And if they stop for 3-5 mins at a time, that gives you a very very brief place to sit.

Not sure what you like to do at disney, but they are also great for watching parades or shows like the drummers in Japan.

There is more walking than standing still. No breaks to just sit, but you could sit for a bit during rest room breaks. You may also be able to find a place to sit during one of the stops if there is a bench nearby. If you are OK with walking you should be fine. I have back issues and standing is hard for me too but walking isn't an issue. You will sit on rides and lunch. It is not a continuous 4-5 hours of standing and walking.

I have RA and can walk all day long, but standing is painful for me. KttK was a challenge for me (It was a lot of standing in my book). I did a lot of shifting back and forth and standing in the back so I could kind of hop around, but I paid for it that night and the next day. Good tour, though; I’m glad we did it. The rollator suggestion sounds very nice.

I'm not crazy about being on my feet for extended periods of time, but the tour is really good. Getting ready to do it a second time on the next trip. :earsboy:

Do they accommodate ECVs? My mom mentioned she’d love to do the tour but walking that much is out of the question for her. I was so thankful that the Behind the Seeds tour let her use her ECV.

I think you mean the opposite, right? In my opinion the vast majority of the time was spent standing and listening the the tour guide. You would walk a few minutes to the next location, then stand and listen for about 10-15 minutes.

There were a couple places where you could sit; early in the tour I remember sitting on some tables in a corner of Main Street. Plus you are of course sitting when riding the rides, and when dining.

But to be honest I don't think it was that much more walking and standing than a typical park day.
