We are on the May 7th Western Cruise and the departure time for Key west
is 7:30
Has anyone heard if they are going to change the time back to 10:30?

I know there was a thread about the time changing but I can't seem to find it.

Also does anyone know what time sunset is in May.

Seems like a short time in Key west.

Help!

78 days to go!

I am going on the Western cruise next week...I can ask one of the CM for you. FYI, I had one person who's hometown is Key West tell me just today that she thinks it is a good thing that DCL leaves Key West earlier now. She said it gets crazy  there at night & really is no place for children.

Thank You!
I found on line that the sunset will be around 8:00 in May
I guess I will be bummed if we miss the sunset celebration.
Last time we missed it because we went back on the boat to have dinner.
It was perfect the sun set just as we were coming out but we missed all the craziness the Key west is all about -the man with the cats -and all the steet performers. It really is a neat port. Would I vacation there for a week with my 12 year old?-probably not but, a day is fine the aquarium is fun and the chickens running around in the streets are entertaining.
I don't think I would venture late at night with my 12 year old it really is a party scene. pirate: mostly bars

They have already moved the time back to 9:45 pm. On our 12/4/04 cruise we were surprised by that. :) There was an extra note with the navigator saying that due to popular demand, the day in Key West was now extended.

I too had the question. I don't want to miss the sunset from Key West. I have been lucky enough to see the sunset from Islamorade Key, and it was wonderful. Ate dinner every night facining the Gulf of Mexico :cool1:

My one free night to Key West I did not get down there for the festival. But i do have some cool pics of the sun going down as we drove down highway 1. I would not want to sail away and not see the sunset. I know that we have early seating on our cruise. Will we be able to see the sunset?

The party might be crazy, but heck I live near Madison, WI. We are known for our parties :)

We had early seating & DH went up on deck to get pictures while I went to the atrium for pictures with the kids with one of the characters. We made it to dinner on time.

Thank You Lisa

I am way excited that they changed it back!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

If you dawdle at dinner you will miss the sunset........... well depends on the time of the year that you go too. In may it is around 8:00
This makes my planning lots better now I will skip dinner and do the sunset
eat conch fritters and keylime pie- You know what they say "When in Rome!"
