We will be taking our first ever trip to Universal in March and will be staying at RPH, for those of you who stay on site how do you carry your key card? If you have to show it each time before getting in line is it a hassle to dig it out of your wallet each time? Is there an easier solution to this? Just wondering, thanks.

Many people put it in a lanyard around their neck. My son just puts it in a pocket that fastens shut. You can buy lanyards at the hotels or parks. You can also get a whole punched in one corner so it attaches to a clip of some kind.

I have a shirt from LLBean called Tropic Wear. In addition to being very lightweight and SPF 40, it has two large pockets that have flaps that close. I put my key card in there. I also purchased a small fanny pack and specifically chose it because it has a shallow zippered pocket on top for my key card and AP. I usually have one or the other on when I go to the parks.

the hotel key is scanned at the beginning of the fotl line/express line by an employee.

because the fotl hotel key is valid for the day you check out, i am sure there are those out there that try to use it for more than the last valid day.

i have had the key card scanned at two different locations on one ride last year. i was guessing there were problems that caused that need. who knows...

if you use a lanyard, tuck it inside your top/shirt if you go on some roller coaster rides. the hulk, dueling dragons comes to mind.
last year on two different occassions, the people in the row in front of me lost their id's hotel key and park passes. it flew out of the lanyard during the dd ride. their lanyard was hanging behind their neck after the first inversion on the ride. seconds later, both passes flew out. they complained to the employee and were direceted to guest services.

when i saw that happen, i grabbed my lanyard quickly.

if i plan to do the rides that require no objects with you, i use the lanyard.
or if i have a waist bag with me i do the rides that i can take it on in the park, then take a break go back to the room and leave it there.
i never take a bag only the lanyard with me when i do hhn.

i put all of our room keys in my belly/waist bag in the front pouch by themselves w/ everything else like money, etc in the other pouches. i wore it on all of the rides....i didn't do the water rides last year but i have worn a belly bag on them under a disposable plastic poncho in the past & didn't have a problem.

it was more convenient to pull them out of a zippered pouch w/ nothing else in it but the room keys than to put it in my husband's wallet w/ the money, credit cards, etc.

I use a lanyard that I got at walmart. It has a zippered pocket and a velcro pocket with a clear window. I take my room key, park ticket or pass, AAA card and a few dollars and that is all I carry into the parks. Even my digital camera will fit in the zipped portion of it, so its really handy. You do need to tuck it in on the wild rides tho.

that must be a little camera...........

i want one of those.......

its alittle 4 megapixel casio, very small, takes good pics in day but it really stinks on night pics.
