Key Largo for kids

Hi everyone..

looks like we might be going to key largo in December... any ideas on activites for my 10 year old son???

Your son would probably like snorkeling at Pennekamp, an underwater park just offshore in Key Largo. It was some of the best snorkeling we've done. The water's fairly shallow, and when we went there were a ton of colorful fish. Which I guess also means that the fishing is good, if he's into that.

We also rented Waverunners from our resort and zipped around in those for a while.

There is an Aqautic lace with a water play area for the kids with slides, fountains and the like. WE enjoy that every summer.

Also, many of the scuba operations will take the family out to snorkel if they are doing a shallow dive. You can just call and ask them. There are a few in Key Largo. One of the ones I've gone out with before is Amoray.

We planned a trip to Key Largo with our family several years ago. When we got there I was surprised how old and run down everything seemed. We spent one night in Key Largo, and then drove until we found somewhere we wanted to stay. We found a little cabin on Little Conch Key, nearly to Marathon. It was a great trip!
